/usr/include/linux.
Shouldn't there be a link from there to /usr/include for it?

You've probably forgotten to install libc6-dev
find stdeff.h as /usr/include/linux/stddef.h.
Might i somehow bee missing some symlinks in /use/include?
Should I have installed the kerenel source, or kernel headers .debs?

Just set up a machine with Potato, and all is going pretty well, but I keep
getting the following anoying error message on the console:

What have I got misconfigured?

selected 24 bit color during install and would up with a truly horible

Seems like the workaround was to edid a file, but i forget which one,
