cannot mount CD-ROM! - Pls help

both these commands: % mount /dev/hdc /cdrom (I do have /cdrom as the mount point) or % mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt In both cases, it says something like, could not mount..maybe an isnmod driver.. Why does Debian2.0 detect the drive during installation but cannot mount ? Pls help. Rathon
