I recently bought a kt3 ultra2 mother board and I keep having problems
with it. The computer is running debian/testing (kernel self-compiled
from unstable deb 2.4.20). The issues are not easily reproducible but
here is what I learned so far:

I finally could install a Debian 2.0 Linux system on an ASUS P2B-DS
board (UltraWide disk). I rebuilt the Debian boot disk with support
for the 7890 chip. You can find them in

except the internal and external ultra2 68 pin connectors? I am
