thing. This system runs win4lin for a few reasons and is a smallish dell
latitude Ls laptop. I managed to get through reconfiguring X for my
neomagic (ugh) video adaptor. When using Xfree86 3.3.6, I could launch

mis-remembered the video card in this box, I think it would have been
seamless. As it was, I had to do some reading and playing around to
get /etc/X11/XF86Config set up the
ttmkfdir in the ttf dir :) Add the path to your fonts section in
XF86Config, freetype to the modules section (you already did both, it

Cara... eu simplesmente reinstalei o antigo servidor que eu usava
xserver-sis
ao inves do xserver-xfree86 que eh o 4...
tenta instalar o xserver-svga
ou entaum apenas mudar o /etc/X11/Xserver
=)

I am having trouble running gnome calendar under XFree86 v 4.0.1. I get
the error:
Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation
Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-1
Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-1
This repeats a few times then the program segfaults. Same thing happens
with gmc
Hey folks,
thanks for all the folks to those you gave me hints with loading font
modules in 4.0.1. I have found that after switching to a console on a
virtual terminal (out of X) and back to X again, I lose my mouse! I've got
a logitec mouseman that is 'autodetected' by X and works great.
