Hamish, So I have a cronjob to kill dosemu daily, and dosemu runs from a script which just runs it over and over again. Same as the power reset on the old machine, but nicer. You could also have an external event from your mailer to run EXITEMU instead of the kill. My system survived ok for

Hamish; It seems to me that there are several good bbses that should work under Linux. Though this is from somewhat distant memory two were RBBS and CBBS and then there are a couple that were written for other multitasking OSes by ham radio operators. These latter might be a bit more difficult
