Hello,
Since I upgraded my Debian 1.2 system to Debian 1.3.1 I get the following
message during the boot:
modprobe: /proc/modules: No such file or directory
Apart from that, everything seems just fine, and /proc/modules exists (I
can use cat to read its contents after the boot has completed).
Hi!
I'm running Debian 1.2 with some 1.3 packages. One of these bo
packages is teTeX. I installed all the other tetex packages just fine
-- not counting the hours-long search for old TeX packages [sic].
tetex-extra gives me something unusual. Here's a transcript:

I'm getting this quite a bit, and it's puzzling me. I'm not entirely
sure *why* it seems to be whining at me. Any suggestions?

The command used to write the disk was:

What caused that error message? Was it dangerous to ignore it
as I did?

except for an annoying message that keeps showing up in kirk's log
