I installed 'printtool' (mainly because it's the only Linux program I've
ever used before to set up printers, on a RedHat system), but it just
complains about startup encoding not set, and that doesn't help me much.

usually i just kill apache, set the ulimit (ulimit -u 40) and restart
apache. you could prob do this in the rc script too. i'll check out the
rlimit directives, but that sounds like an apache thing. i feel safer
with a system level limiter. and kernel patches i have applied ensure

Can /etc/modules be deleted safely? After upgrading from 2.0.36 - 2.2.12 I
