A veure...

si no ho entenc malament vols connectar un ordinador a internet fent
servir un altre com a router, no?
Jo això ho he fet a casa i funciona perfectament.

PC 1 PC2Router ADSL
-
Ethernet (eth0)Ethernet (eth0)
address 192.168.0.10 address 192.168.0.1
netmask 255.255.255.0 netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1gateway (no cal)
DNS (els teus públics) DNS (no cal)

   Wifi (ra0) Wifi
   address 192.168.1.10 address
192.168.1.1
   netmask 255.255.255.0 netmask
255.255.255.0
   gateway 192.168.1.1gateway (no
cal)

echo 1 /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -i eth0 -o ra0 -j MASQUERADE

2010-09-15 Thread Orestes Mas
El Dimecres dia Dimecres 15 Setembre 2010 Pep Nieto Nieto Pep Nieto
jni...@tinet.cat va escriure:
Hi ha una xarxa 192.168.1.0 i un altra 192.168.2.0
 (# route -n ? )
No ho acabo de veure clar
 Salut

{{{
# You can for example add an alternative sources.list file here.
# OPTIONS=-o quiet=1 -o
Dir::Etc::SourceList=/etc/apt/security.sources.list
}}}

`/etc/cron-apt/action.d/0-update`.

commande newaliases

et rechargé le service postfix...
dans le main.cf j'ai :
alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases
alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases

1) libgssapi-krb5-2 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]
2) libk5crypto3 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]
3) libkrb5-3 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]
4) libkrb5support0 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]

chercher.

Re: [HS] Help pour débuter avec iptables

2010-09-15 Thread Pascal Hambourg
giggzounet a écrit :

 variables modifiables via sysctl:

 net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.default.send_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.all.secure_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.default.accept_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.default.secure_redirects

Merci.

Re: [HS] Help pour débuter avec iptables

2010-09-15 Thread giggzounet
Le 15/09/2010 16:31, Pascal Hambourg a écrit :
 giggzounet a écrit :

 variables modifiables via sysctl:

 net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.default.send_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.all.secure_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.default.accept_redirects
 net.ipv4.conf.default.secure_redirects

net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.conf.default.send_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.conf.default.accept_redirects = 0

Bonne soirée,
Guillaume

page de man).

1) libgssapi-krb5-2 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]
2) libk5crypto3 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]
3) libkrb5-3 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]
4) libkrb5support0 [1.8.1+dfsg-5 (now)]

[MIS A JOUR] libgssapi-krb5-2 1.8.1+dfsg-5 - 1.8.3+dfsg~beta1-1
[MIS A JOUR] libkrb5-3 1.8.1+dfsg-5 - 1.8.3+dfsg~beta1-1
[MIS A JOUR] libkrb5support0 1.8.1+dfsg-5 - 1.8.3+dfsg~beta1-1

a+

f.

chercher.

Bom dia,

Baixei ontem a ISO do Debian i386 (DVD 1), gravei e instalei. Fiquei
instalar o system default utilities.

laptop, SSH server, etc.

instalados e usados no debian.

# watch cat /proc/partitions

Dessa forma após conectar o dispositivo, será mostrado o nome do arquivo
correspondente em /dev. Aí é só montar:

# mount /dev/dispositivo /mnt

signatures were invalid: BADSIG 9AA38DCD55BE302B Debian Archive

Changing to ftp.us.debian.org solved this problem.

Why the unstable release there will be signed by using 5.0/lenny key?
Is this like a mirror problem?

(cron does not send mail with good encoding) and
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=410057 (cron should
send email with UTF-8 charset as it's default in Etch).

Those bug reports are for cron and should be already fixed.

But mail from anacron seems to be lacking the proper header (something
like Content/type: text/html; charset=utf-8) and therefor looks strange
in Thunderbird until I force it to use the UTF-8 encoding?

Should my analysis be correct, how can I get anacron to add the proper

Mmm, can you upload a sample of the e-mail you are getting so we can take
a look into the header? Of course, the e-mail sample should not contain
private data :-)

+1

That said, however, I don't think the main question here should be
what kind of users is d-i targeted for. I think the crucial issue
should be that *the default should always be as non-destructive as
humanly possible* - just as new package versions shouldn't overwrite
admin configuration files in /etc, or new OS installations shouldn't

Therefore, although being an expert install user personally, I am

Not really, the problem is that libncurses5-dbg ships a special debug
version of the library and no detached debugging symbols, unlike other
-dbg packages. This is fixed in Squeeze, though.

This is wrong.

It only contains the debugging symbols that were removed from
 libncurses5.

Again wrong, in Lenny it does _not_ contain debugging symbols (but it
does in Squeeze). In both Lenny and Squeeze it contains a special
version of the library built with features that help debugging
(i.e. it's configured with --with-trace).

At least the following works for me:

 0) sudo aptitude install libncursesw5-dbg
 1) start nano
 2) start gdb
 3) shell pidof nano
 4) attach that pid
 5) bt

Will only work in Squeeze, in Lenny you need to set
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/debug for that to be useful.

You have to use it before you start your program, e.g.

Specifying it at link time would also be possible, e.g. by linking with
-rpath=/usr/lib/debug, but don't do this for binaries that you give to

Squeeze. Failed to install bootloader in VirtualBox

2010-09-15 Thread Mark Goldshtein
Hello, list!

Here is a try to install Squeeze into Oracle VirtualBox 3.2.6. Virtual
drive is 8.0 GB persistent, RAM 768 Mb, a virtual drive was
partitioned by Squeeze installer with default settings (/, swap;
ext3). Everything is fine, except for bootloader. There is a failure
during GRUB (GRUB2, lilo) installation process: GRUB installation
failed. The 'grub-pc' package failed to install
into /target/.

Also tried to partition a virtual hdd before Squeeze installation. No
effect, bootloader installation failed also.

Please, help to install a bootloader.

Thanks for your time!

Well, you can try with cvt tool to get the correct Modeline and then
add it to your xorg.conf. Restart and check if it got the right
resolution.

I.e., for a 1280x1...@60hz display, you can type:

***
cvt 1280 1024 60

Or you can do the same on the fly with xrandr.

Oh, yes, I had forgotten about the need to do that.

In typing the above, I discovered what's happening!

The cursor jumped again as I was typing the t in little. I tried to
replicate what I was doing and discovered that it's not the touchpad
that I'm touching but the left clicker key situated in front of the
touchpad. The return spring under that key has become weak and mushy
over seven or eight years of almost daily service. As I reach to strike
the r and t keys I sometimes brush the clicker key with the bottom
 of the lower thumb knuckle of the left hand. When that happens, thenbsp;
cursor jumps to wherever thenbsp; mouse pointer happens to be and enters
 the character there.

I need to be careful to keep my left hand farther above the keys while
typing. It would also be helpful to replace the spring under the left
clicker key. (This diagnosis also explains why the problem has grown
 worse with age.)

Thanks to all for your patience and advice.

I am glad to hear that you have resolved the problem! (And maybe
someone else will find the syndaemon information useful anyway.)

Mmm, SDG does not works for you? That's weird :-?

What I made was downloading the ISO image from SDG site and configured
Virtualbox squeeze vm machine to boot from there. That way GRUB installed
just fine.

Well, I think you can always install squeeze without a bootloader and
install it later (from SDG or from squeeze itself).

Yes, ~/.mozilla is where the user profile and files are located.
Renaming that folder should be enough to get a clean environment (no user

Wow. Did you purge the package after removing it?

Anyway, you can try to launch the browser from command line to check for
any errors you may get :-?

Another test (if you are using 32 bits OS) could be downloading Firefox
directly form Mozilla site and run the upstream version (no installation
needed, just click and run).

Does Epiphany experiment the same behaviour? I don't remember if you
already say so...

PS. both of the full log can be posted if you want.

The key is right here:

(--) NV(0): Chipset: Unknown NVIDIA chipset

This sometimes happens when using old software on new hardware. The nv driver
(package xserver-xorg-video-nv) which ships with Lenny is too old to recognize
the new Nvidia chipset. The nv driver which ships with Squeeze is newer and
does recognize the chipset. I would suggest that you do one of two things:
(1) switch your Lenny system to a more generic driver, such as vesa, or (2)
upgrade your Lenny system to Squeeze.

Running a newer kernel is not going to help you in this case. It isn't the
kernel which doesn't support your card, it's the xserver-xorg-video-nv
package, which is part of the X server.

HP LaserJet 5L - cannot print postscript from cmd line

2010-09-15 Thread michael
Folks, I've tried and tried but have failed to get my HP LaserJet 5L,
connected by parallel port, to print postscript from the command line.
It will print a page from say iceweasel but just isn't having
 lpr test.ps
do the expected thing - rather it prints out the postscript file line by
line by line.

This is under Debian Lenny (amd64) on a new build on my SATA HDD. Irony
is I did have it working on Lenny (amd64) previously with my old IDE
HDD. I've compared the two but can't see what differs.

I'm not quite sure what info is best to send, but hopefully the below
will help. All help appreciated. Thanks, Michael

I do not know super-much about this issue, but I have one small
idea. Maybe you had some packages installed on your old system that
are not present on your new system?

For example, today I was looking at the package foomatic-filters.
The description for that package sounds like what you want to do:
convert .ps into code that can be used by your printer.

Just an idea,

Phil

Try with another (even generic?) PCL5e driver.

The one recommended/suggested¹ for that printer (btw, one of the best
printers I had the pleasure to work with) is ljet4:

You can just rename your current profile, so you do not lose your
settings. Rename it and start Icewasel, it will auto-create and empty
  one.

odd but there was no .iceweasel only .mozilla...

Yes, ~/.mozilla is where the user profile and files are located.
Renaming that folder should be enough to get a clean environment (no user
plugins, no settings... just the defaults).

I decided to take the nuclear approach dekleted all
of the browsers expect Ephiphany all the directories I.E a clean new
install. Guess what the same problem is still there in iceweasel only!
NO plugins no extensions just iceweasel mozplugger. Any other

Wow. Did you purge the package after removing it?
Yep Nothing at all left incl flash players all plugins addons.

I don't remember if you
No it does not seem to.

 already say so...

In line with nuking iceweasel...I downloaded the new FireFox 4 beta and
did a simple local single user install to my home directory. downloaded
the new adobe flash player 10.xx from adobe likewise created a plugins
dir in the local install: copied the driver there VOILA all works
BLAZING fast. I will use it like this until the software folks catch up
to my hardware system. Its a beast running a 6core AMD 64 bit processor
with twin 2GB ATI video cards running in crossfire mode.
Thanks for all the advice. BTW I'm running a mixed squeeze/sid
system...Lots of room for issues. LOL!

It should be a nice idea, indeed.

Not just for ID3 tags, but editing any kind of metadata (such exif for
 images, or for video meta-information).

Anyway, I found that -generally speaking- in Linux world, developers like
small programs for dedicated actions (but performing well) instead
bloating programs with lots of functions with high predisposition to lag
 the user's system :-
Thanks for all your answers. I use easytag to modify ID3 tags, but I did
not understand why GNOME never proposed to modify these ID3 tags, be it
by a front-end to another script, or not.

Re: How to change search engine in IceApe/SeaMonkey?

I think the location bar search facility is handled by keyword.URL
value in about:config section.

Greetings,

That was it.
Thanks!
