Non: tu as oublié le = entre of et /mnt/ 
Et il n'est pas sûr que dd support les espaces (jamais essayé,
mais jamais vu non plus en exemple ni dans les docs)

Bonjour, idem, hier soir.
c'est un lien symbolique libaudit qui est cassé
/lib/libaudit.so.1 - /lib/libaudit.so.1.0.0
à remplacer par
/lib/libaudit.so.0 - /lib/libaudit.so.1.0.0

Et effectivement, depuis ce matin, c'est de nouveau libaudit 1.7.18-1
qui est en piste.

Je n'aime pas le il (méprisant de la personne), j'aurais préféré le tu.
(adressage en direct).

À vue de nez, je dirais en quoi il peut dire qu'une banale sauvegarde vers un 
support externe via rsync, avec le soucis de préservation des liens 
symboliques, serait inconsciente et dangereuse ?

Comment peut-il prouver qu'il n'a pas lu la doc ?

Sans doute parce qu'il doit utiliser HylaFAX (ə package),
avec une fausse imprimante dans samba et un script pour
l'arrivée sous forme de PDF.

Exact.

 avec une fausse imprimante dans samba et un script pour
 l'arrivée sous forme de PDF.

Exact aussi sauf que :
- j'utilise Samba uniquement pour pouvoir servir des fichiers aux
  machines qui sont encore restées sous MS Windows. Pas pour imprimer.
- j'utilise le postcript à l'émission avec une ligne de commande. A la
  réception, je livre du pdf par email.

Enregistrement d'une session Gnome (v3)

Bonjour,

J'ai un petit problème récent sur mon portable. En effet, Gnome semble
sauvegarder les applications à lancer au démarrage plutôt que de faire
ce que je lui demande. Je m'explique...

Phase n°1 : j'allume mon portable au bureau
- le script lancé par guessnet définit les applications à lancer à
  l'ouverture de ma session en modifiant les valeurs
  X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled des différents raccourcis. Ainsi,
  pour Prog1, je mets True  pour Prog2, je mets false.
- ma session s'ouvre et tout marche bien.

Phase n°2 : j'allume mon portable à la maison
- le même script lancé par guessnet change les valeurs et met False
  pour Prog1  True pour Prog2.
- j'ouvre ma session et Prog1 se lance et pas Prog2 !!!
- je ferme manuellement Prog1 et lance manuellement Prog2.
- je vérifie le fichier Prog1.desktop et pourtant,
  X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled est bien à False !!!

Phase n°3 : je redémarre mon portable, toujours à la maison
- le script ne change donc rien
- j'ouvre ma session et Prog1 ne se lance plus alors que Prog2 est bien
  lancé !

Phase n°4 : j'allume mon portable au bureau
- et là, tout est inversé à nouveau, comme si la dernière session avait
  été enregistrée...

Pour info, dans org/gnome/gnome-session, auto-save-session n'est pas
coché.

Bref, j'y perds mon latin ! Et tout ça fonctionnait parfaitement bien
jusqu'à ce week-end !

Auriez-vous une idée ?

Oui pour le premier dump car le MBR va venir avec
le /mnt/image_disqueRacine.
La restauration de l'image sera :

Par contre, sans être trop affirmatif sur le principe, je me méfierai de
la seconde ligne pour le dump du /home. Il ne s'agit pas ici de
l'erreur de syntaxe dont j'ai été à l'origine et que tu as déjà
corrigée, mais parce qu'en cas pépin sur l'un des deux disques il va
falloir restaurer au moins une des deux images et la monter en espérant
que tout ce qui tournait bien avant le pépin trouvera encore ses petits
aux bons endroits avec l'autre disque qui lui n'a pas eu de pépin.

Encore une fois, je ne veux pas être trop affirmatif.
J'ai eu des ennuis avec des fichiers de config sous
le /home qui pointaient sur /usr ou /var ou ailleurs je ne sais plus. Au
cours de l'évolution naturelle des mises à jour les fichiers ne sont
plus utilisés ou ils changent de nom ou, pire, l'applicatif a changé.
Il faut alors passer du temps à raccorder tout ça. Cette expérience
malheureuse est trop lointaine pour que je puisse la détailler
exactement ici mais je me suis fait échauder une fois. Cela m'a suffit.
De plus, je vois ça uniquement depuis le bout de ma lorgnette car je ne
suis pas confronté à l'ajout/suppression de comptes utilisateurs. 

Tout ça pour dire qu'en termes de sauvegardes, je pense qu'un dump
du /home ne peut pas être __la__ solution universelle et qu'il faut
d'abord établir ses contraintes de restauration avant de mettre en
place ses méthodes de sauvegardes.

Un dernier point qu'il est peut-être inutile de préciser : l'image
du /mnt/image_disqueRacine ne pourra être utilisée que sur la machine
d'origine à cause de 
la configuration des drivers.

xorg s'appuie maintenant sur udev pour être dynamique (plus de hal), ce
qui est utile quand tu branche un deuxième écran ou un périphérique
quelconque.

Mieux que /etc/xorg.conf (qui est prioritaire sur les conf dynamiques
mais est totalement statique) regarde ce qui se trouve dans 
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ 
pour comprendre coment ça marche et mets tes confs personnalisées ou en
surcharge, sur le même modèle, dans 
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/  
(si tu change les fichiers de /usr/share ils peuvent être écrasés par
une mise à jour).

Et si on veut attaquer les marchés gouvernementaux, on utilise
la même méthode de gestion qu'eux: random.

Wai, il est pômaldutout, même qu'avec certains APN il fait froid dans

Je suis en train de trier mes films de famille et comme ça fait un
moment que je n'ai pas fait ça, je n'arrive plus retrouver quand le film
a été tourné. Je me demandai s'il existait des meta-données dans les
films comme il existe (entre autres) les données exif pour les images.
Et si oui, comment les extraire.

Un file sur un fichier me donne :

file fichier.mov  : ISO Media, Apple QuickTime movie


Rien trouvé sur le net.

J'ai mis en place mon serveur mail à la maison. Tout semble fonctionner 
parfaitement.

Par contre, plusieurs fois par jour, mon client mail (Apple Mail) me dit : le 
serveur ingrao.fr a refusé le mot de passe pour imap.ingrao.fr, et me propose 
de le retaper.

Ce que je fe fais (en cochant la case enregistrer le mot de passe), mais il 
me redemande le mot de passe 3, 4 ou 5 fois de suite, avant que la réception de 
mails fonctionne.

(le mot de passe tapé est le bon, il s'agit de celui du compte UNIX de mon 
serveur)

Avez-vous une idée ? (à part changer de client mail ^^)

A note que le problème semble se produire lorsque j'ai 2 clients mails ouverts 
simultanément : 1 sur ma machine fixe, 1 sur mon laptop ...

Aupa:

He configurado mi máquina para montar virtuales con kvm, pero cuando le mando 
crear la virtual con virt-install, me pide al certificado de la CA.

Hace falta crear una entidad certificadora para crear una virtual?

Debo estar pasándole un parámetro erroneo, el comando lo he configurado a 
partir de la man de virt-install. Intento crearla desde el repositorio 
directamente.

virt-install --connect qemu://system -n virtual -r 512 --vcpus 2 --description 
--location=http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze/main/installer-amd64/ 
--os-type linux --os-variant debiansqueeze --disk /vm/virtual.img,size=60 --

Me dice esto:

ERRORCannot read CA certificate '/etc/pki/CA/cacert.pem': No existe el 
fichero o el directorio

Hombre si ha que hacerle una entidad certificadora pues se hace pero me parece 
muy raro.

Alguien que me diga donde estoy metiendo la pata???

He configurado el kernel, ethernet, etc.

Si que parece raro que te pida certificado, creo que este link [1]
puede ayudarte ( yo no se XD). Fijate en [2] que creo que por ahi vas a
adivinar que es lo que pasa.

A mi me ha hado muchos problemas eso de los puentes con las
inalámbricas, lo solucioné utilizando una red tap a la que hago el
bridge y a partir de allí usando shorewall aplico un NAT, espero te
sirva.

uno para cada SO y conectarte por IMAP.

Yo realicé el dist-upgrade hace unas semanas
con un el DVD 1 bajado con Jigdo
y sentí una frustración casi igual y la enfoqué diferente:

Me dije: tengo que aprender a usar el sistema de paquetes de Debian y
empecé a buscar los errores de las dependencias en el BTS
de Debian y con instalar a mano unos paquetes de perl solucioné
los conflictos de dependencias.

Luego cuando terminó la instalación de los paquetitos
procedí a reinstalar el driver del adaptador wifi
(la instalación fue en una Laptop Lenovo G450)
y quedó muy bien a excepción de los comandos
con la tecla de función: aumentar / disminuir el brillo
que hacen que el kernel explote.

Te recomendaría realizarlo en modo de texto
y que selecciones la opción expert.

Es la más detallada, pero también la más flexible.

adaptador wireless te puede dar problemas. Revisa lo que comentan en ese

lo más importante sería saber si te aparece algún error cuando lo 
configuras o qué resultados obtienes cuando intentas establecer una 
conexión desde otro equipo (las pruebas típicas de conectividad, ping, 
route, etc...).

A menudo tenemos la necesidad de hacerle un correo a todos los usuarios de
correo para darles a conocer algúna información, voy a poner el
procedimiento para hacer una lista con todos los usuarios que tenemos en
el sistema. La idea de esto es crear un alias en nuestro servidor que
incluya a todos los nombres de usuarios, de manera que si se le hace un
correo a este alias, le llegará a todos los buzones!

para extraer a todos los usuarios, teniendo en cuenta los UID de los
usuarios en los sistemas linux tienen sus reglas, los usuarios normales
tienen UIDs muy por encima de los usuarios del sistema, en caso de Debian,
los UID de estos usuarios se le asigna a partir del 1000, por lo tanto,
todos nuestros usuarios tendran un UID  1000, y este campo es en el
archivo passwd el tercero de los 7 que existen! por lo tanto el tercer
campo del archivo passwd debe tener un valor mayor que 1000.

awk -F: $3  1000 { printf %-s\n, $1 } /root/usuarios

esto nos va a dar como resultado un archivo que tendrá todos los nombres
de usuarios uno en cada línea.

# cat ~/usuarios
aldomtnez
juan
pepe
esperancejo

al tener este archivo, creamos el alias dentro del archivo aliases de
nuestro servidor de correos! escribimos esta línea en nuestro archivo

todos: :include:/root/usuarios

hacemos un postalias y luego reiniciamos el postfix

# postalias /etc/aliases
# invoke-rc.d postfix force-reload

si queremo limitar los usuarios con permisos a enviar a esta cuenta, se
puede hacer una smtpd_restriction en la que se dé como destino esta
dirección; y se creará un archivo en el que se declararán las direcciones
con permiso a enviarle correos a todos los usuarios. De otra forma queda
comentar y descomentar la línea del alias cada vez que se vaya a enviar un
correo.

NOTA: es obligatorio tomar alguna de las dos medidas anteriores para
evitar que circule información no recomendada por la red.

Reclamo la ayuda de alguien que lo tenga configurado, por que en
principio son 2 ficheros los que hay que tocar y estoy seguro que si
alguien lo tiene configurado y nos intercambiamos los ficheros de
configuración puedo ver donde la estoy cagando.

Efectivamente una inalambrica no soporta una tarjeta puente, pero para
eso está el manual de antes que se supone debe funcionar.

Yo creo que más bien se debe al uso de una tarjeta wifi, son
problemáticas para estas cosas.

El problema es que las tarjetas inalámbricas creo que no permiten ip
Spoofing, necesario para estas historias.

No, lo siento, sólo he configurado un puente en windows (adaptador
cableado con adaptador inalámbrico) y aquí es coser y cantar :-)

Ejemplos de configuración tienes en Internet, no es una configuración que
compleja, por ejemplo:

En cuanto a tu caso, los archivos de configuración serán los mismos,
pero lo más importante sería saber si te aparece algún error cuando lo
configuras o qué resultados obtienes cuando intentas establecer una
conexión desde otro equipo (las pruebas típicas de conectividad, ping,
route, etc...).

Ah, mira, ese error es interesante.

Y no, me parece que para este error no dice nada el artículo de la wiki
de Debian (habla del enrutado de los paquetes y del problema de la
autentificación pero este tipo de error parece que es más básico).

No se por que, pero creo que es un problema de sintaxis o
configuración mal ordenada en algún fichero, por que en principio por
lo demás lo tengo todo ya que con la eth0 me funciona sin problemas.

Yo creo que más bien se debe al uso de una tarjeta wifi, son
problemáticas para estas cosas.

El problema es que las tarjetas inalámbricas creo que no permiten ip
Spoofing, necesario para estas historias.

Es posible... ¿qué adaptador y driver usas? Quizá necesites algún
componente (¿hostapd?) extra.

Duda sobre Squid

Salud2s Listeros hace unos dias me surgio la duda de que si es posible
expesificarle al Squid atravez de una regla o un parametro que una
direccion ip determinada no genere trazas en /var/log/squid/access.log.

Como bien dijo Camaleon la mejor solución es Thunderbird portable con las 2 
versiones (la de Windows y la de Linux) apuntando a la misma carpeta de los

Solo tengo icedove como cliente de correo.
Con Icedove al pulsar en un enlace solo se abre iceweasel.
Tengo instalado opera pero no se como ponerlo en icedove para que abra 
opera.
También se cuelga si pulsamos un enlace dentro de iceweasel, Con opera 
no se cuelga.
También se cuelga iceweasel, cuando quiero ver un vídeo de desde 
youtube, cosa que no pasa con opera.

Hombre, claro, se abre el navegador que tengas definido como 
predeterminado en el sistema. Al menos esa es la teoría.

Bueno, a ver... abre un terminal (gnome-terminal tiene soporte para http) 
y escribe http://www.google.es; y pulsa con el botón derecho para que te 
abra el enlace en Iceweasel a ver si se queda colgado.

¿Mande? :-? Entonces es Iceweasel el que tiene un problema. Prueba a 
ejecutarlo desde línea de comandos para ver si te dice algo.

¿Has probado a iniciarlo sin extensiones o a probar con un perfil 
completamente nuevo? ¿Has probado a ejecutarlo como otro usuario (gksu 
firefox)?

 Con opera no se cuelga.

Prueba a desactivar los plugins, al menos el de flash, a ver si notas 
alguna mejora.

En tiempo real no sé si se puede hacer (conveniente no creo que sea, 
desde luego), lo que sí podrás es filtrar la IP después, para analizar 
los registros de una forma más cómoda.

Mira, hasta Google encuentra algo sencillito que te puede servir:

No necesitas un certificado SSL para instalar a través de red ... 
también te sirve ssh (creo que lo indicaban arriba), yo lo hago en un 
cluster de 5 servidores kvm sin problemas ...

Openvpn

Bom dia,

Tenho servidor com openvpn, e varios clientes servidores linux
utilizando openvpn, estou tendo problema que nos clientes linux, toda
manhã a vpn está fora, se eu do um stop e start não volta, após eu
altera a linha remote para qualquer outro ip, eu executar o comando
openvpn --config filial.conf, depois volto a dar um stop e start e
volta a funcionar a vpn, alguem saber porque acontece isso, ou tem
algum script que eu possar estar deixando na cron que resolva esse
problema?.

China, obrigado pela dica. Quando eu tiver um tempo vou testar.

Complementando a discussão anterior; fazer tether via WiFi também não
fucionou. Fica do mesmo jeito que usando USB: o computador resolve os
nomes, mas as conexões dão timeout. Pra mim isso tem todo jeito de
bloqueio por parte da operadora (uso a Oi).

Eu suspeito que os apps de tether simplesmente atrapalham que a
operadora reconheça que está ocorrendo tether.
Se alguém tem alguma explicação melhor sobre os motivos disso não
funcionar com o software padrão do Android eu gostaria de ouvir.

Isso tem que ser resolvido por mod_proxy mesmo.

De qualquer forma para mudar a porta default do apache:

Ja tentou mudar a porta para 80 e configurar um NAT pra  ? porque por 
padrão a porta 80 é mascarada. Ja fiz isso uma vez, é em 1 arquivo do apache 
que faz essa mudança de porta, falta so lembrar...rsrsrs.

Ja tentou mudar a porta para 80 e configurar um NAT pra  ? porque por 
padrão a porta 80 é mascarada. Ja fiz isso uma vez, é em 1 arquivo do apache

If by command line mode you mean one of the virtual consoles, it 
reminds me of what happens when a username is typed in all capitals.  
Due to historic reasons, then the system assumes you're using a terminal 
(teletype?) which only has capitals available so switches to using 
capitals all the time.  Maybe that's what you experienced... (I saw it 
happen to somebody a few years ago but I couldn't get it to happen on my 
sid system right now, so I'm not sure if that behavior has changed 
recently.)

Then downloaded the two architectures I care about here.

I posted the solution elsewhere in this thread.  But since I changed
the subject it will confuse some mail readers and therefore will add
an additional follow-up here.

The solution is that the netboot.tar.gz files need to be in sync with
the udebs in the new point release.  Update the tftp pxe boot server
with updated netboot.tar.gz file contents and the problem is solved.

Dude, calm down... I did not realize it was a specific kind of 10 gigabit
adapter for HPC computing requirements and more specifically a module for
connecting switches.

The exclamation point was used to denote incredulity and frustration,
not excitement. ;)

99% of 10 GbE deployment is switch stack interconnection, i.e.
backbones. It's used very little in HPC environments--Infiniband
dominates there. Very few servers today have 10 GbE connections. When
they do they're used for dedicated iSCSI SAN traffic, not user traffic.
Statistically zero desktops/workstations today are using 10 GbE
connections. If they do it's for a specialized dedicated application
such as satellite data stream processing, etc.

In short, you likely won't be seeing 10 GbE outside the datacenter or
internet POP/hotel any time soon. 10 GbE can transfer 1.25 GB/s in both
directions. That's one quarter of a single layer DVD per second in each
direction, 4 seconds to transfer the whole DVD. Very very few
individual servers are capable of such sustained throughput. Thus, 10
GbE is used almost exclusively as an aggregation pipe, or backbone.

After some years I have settled on upgrading sid using aptitude
safe-upgrade. It will indicate the packages with problems, if there are
any, or if any have been held back, in which case a full-upgrade is
required. If not, job done at maximum speed. If there is trouble, and
there has been for most of the last month on my system, I switch to
Synaptic, where I find it easier to select what to upgrade and what to
leave.

Occasionally, a logjam can be fixed by upgrading things in the right
order, so sometimes a situation where aptitude full-upgrade will only
offer to remove half your system can be resolved by repeatedly using
Synaptic to pick sets of packages to upgrade. You can, of course, do
this with aptitude but with a great deal more typing.

Thanks, Andrei.  That makes sense.  

So it is not a case of Debian having to do something because Ubuntu is doing 
it, but of co-operation.  And Squeeze is not going to come with it.  That 
was the weirdest bit from my point of view: that the present Stable was going 
to be changed to come in line with Ubuntu's future plans.

If you swap back in the previous netboot image does that restore the
working behavior? If so then that would be a strong indicator of a
bug in the latest files. It would warrant a bug report in that case.

So I restored an old version from tape and I have the same problem. I can
think of 3 categorical reasons what's going on:

1. One of the retrieved udebs is causing the problem, like maybe

2. A configuration option has changed and suddenly my configuration has been
rendered bad - this seems very unlikely

Sadly this box is a physical server that is in a data centre and the

Current Status

Quick overview:

KernelModeSetting (KMS) is mandatory Suspend and resume is working for
many chips

2D support is in very good shape with EXA acceleration, Xv and Randr12
(dual-head, rotations, etc.). To understand how multiple monitors work
in X, see MultiMonitorDesktop.

For some Fermi cards, like the NVD9, check the firmware status as it is
required for acceleration.

Some 3D acceleration exists. Read MesaDrivers carefully.

Nvidia Optimus support is not implemented yet, you may not be able to
use the Nvidia GPU at all on Optimus laptops.

There're no other drivers than the proprietary nvidia and this nouveau
driver supporting 3D acceleration. If you won't use the proprietary,
than you probably are screwed.

Serious, you're using a Mac [1], there's nothing I could imagine that's
more un-libre. I really wonder why you won't use the proprietary driver.

Python is a great language, but keep in mind, if you learn py2, that doesn't
mean you'll instantly know py3, for example;

print hello world in py2 is valid, but not in py3 where it is

print(hello world)

In python2 print is a statement, and in python3 it's a function. If you
are
looking for a book to buy as well, you can start with O'Reilly's Learning
Python (3e/2007), which covers Python 2.5, this will give you enough to
function adequitly in Python2.7 o you can just skip to the 4th edition (4e)
which covers Python2.6 and Python3.x.

configured independently with different IPs.

Also when I do arp -a (via remote console access via iDRAC like
technology) I see the arp table is empty following failover. It has
entries prior to failover.

I have to login via the remote-console access and restart networking to
get it up again.  I can only think it's something to do with the switch
but not sure how to prove this. I can also get my hosting company to
connect both NICS to the same switch and I can try testing again? But I
would lose the switch redundancy this way :(

Is there anything further I can do to debug or eliminate things? Sadly I
don't have any access to any of the following or proceeding hops to run
tcpdump or such stuff.

x-window-manager in the xstartup file in your .vnc directory links to 
metacity.  Replace it with gnome-session.

The debian installer supports encrypting your entire disk at 
install-time.  If you have already installed, and have one big 
filesystem left / no opportunity to change partitions / volumes around, 
then take a look at ecryptfs, which can be used to encrypt just your 
$HOME.

As someone already mentioned, this is Gmail feature.

My solution is to use my connecton ISP's SMTP server to send mail to the
list using mail header with From: os...@debian.org.

My debian.org mail is configured to forward mails to my gmail account.
So I can get a lot of mails.  Gmail filters spam out and allows me to
get as many large mails via POP3.

No, the _OP_ said he had a standard _US_ keyboard, which doesn't have a
compose key, which is why this thread exists in the first place (that,

and he'll have one (AltGr)  like the rest of the civilized world (the
above is superior, it seems, to the 'dead key' solution, and also to the
'Dead Sea' solution, which hasn't been tried since Moses anyway).

Actually, the package name is 'ecryptfs-utils'.

I looked for 'encryptfs', didn't find anything, noticed that there was
no 'n', and, well, you get the picture.

This is isn't a criticism or anything; it's just for people who might
give up quite easily.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. You might want to do
something like that. Note: this is just an example; you need
to adapt it to your config and your own preferences. Typing

outputs.

After testing it, I've put the above code in my .xsession file so that
it is run automatically when I log in.

This article suggests putting the xrandr line in the ~/.xprofile
(the other methods are admin-level config), with the drawback that
it occurs fairly late in the start‐up process, so you'll see some
resolution resizing during the initial screen draw; in some cases
panel windows may resize improperly as a result.

I haven't tried, but using the .xsession instead avoids this problem.
Note: I think the window manager or desktop environment needs to be
started from the .xsession (at least, this is what I do). This should
also work when starting X from the command line with startx (this
was working in the past, but I haven't tried since a long time).

How about Mozilla Firefox 10.0 on stable?

I would run the upstream Firefox in your stable box and see how it 
goes. If the print selection is not available, then Firefox's to blame.
