Looks like you don't have correct kernel for this server. If you do not
find kernel allready compiled for this server, you will have to
configure and compile kernel yourself.

That's right, you can not prevent Windows from overwriting Master Boot
Record. After istalling Windows you have to rewrite MBR. MBR is short
portion in the begining of the whole disk or partition. By overwriting
MBR, no data on disk are harmed.

after i adjust volume in gnome-volume-control and reboot, i loose all
