Hm. The first time I tried to install I was #4 to download. It
installed but wouldn't correctly run. It would complain about missing some
file that it copied into one of its directories. Sorry, don't remember for
sure which one.

For me somewhere between downloading the files on an NT system,
burning them to CD over the network on a '95 system and then copying
them to my Debian system the filenames became all caps. I had to
rename all the files to lowercase i.e. GUI00 to gui00 (after they were
gunzipped). Then I tar -xvf

The runme asks if you've untarred things, and decides there's nothign
new to do if you say yes. If you say no, it untars, but still doesn't
do anything. The executables end up in ./linux/bin

I've got it, but I haven't figured out quite how to install it.
un-tgz'ing produces a handful of directories, a Readme, and a Runme.
The Readme says to untar and ungzip everything, then run the Runme

I got it, installed it, and it's quite nice. The installer wasn't exactly
intuitive, but everything went in without a hitch. I downloaded it all in
one piece (the 23 meg bad boy), and untarred it.
and that was the problem. IN spite of the claim above the link, it
gave me
