d try to figure out why your system is trying to find the mysql version of the plugin, but as a temporary solution, you can try to create a symlink from /usr/lib/mysql/plugin/dialog.so to one of those files and see if it works. empty - service rsyslog start and then all logfiles have reappeared (are regenerated?) in /usr/local/pf/conf with timestamp NOW, filled with entries dating back to dec 6. This is debian 9.11. Any other info that is required.? Thanks! MJ
