Is anyone running Delude 3.X on a smartermail installation? Any problems
with it?

We are using smartermail 2.6 with Declude 3.0.5.5 and have no problems.
We are a low volume, 6,000 a day with 1200 being legit, on dual
processor 533 with 2 gigs ram.
We run the following AV products, F-prot, AVG, and ClamAV (persistent)
on inbound and outbound. For spam we have Sniffer
Richard,
That sounds promising. So you have not had problems with declude headers
appearing at the bottom of some emails or problems with some emails not
being scanned at all by delude?

Not at all, but my judgement is based upon user submitted emails to our
spam account for review and personal emails that I receive.
My guess is that those two problems would only occur under high loads.

Otherwise, it has been a flawless transition from IMail to SmarterMail.

This is for those of you like me that are using Kill List Generator Found at

It seems that some time in the recent past Kill List Generator stopped
working and is causing false positives

John,
Is your proc directory (off spool) backed up? How many files are in this
folder?

I appreciate the others sharing their experiences, but I was also hoping
that someone from Declude could comment on the current state, any known
issues, and what the plans are related to bugs and/or tweaks to the
newly introduced code.
Thanks,

Ditto, since we run dual-proc IMail servers, as well. What are the current

I just updated to Declude 3.0.5.5 and was wondering about a something's.
Decon will not work anymore. Is there a new version for the updated version
of Declude. I do have Hijack, AV and Junkmail and the consol is very useful.

I would say not. I watched it for a few minutes and it bounced from around
30 msgs (60 files) down to about 11 msgs (22 files) - none time stamped more
than 2 minutes old. Work folder moves well -- never more than a handful
there and they process on out.
More often than not, looking into \proc\
John,
It sure sounds like that it was temporary. For situations like this you
might want to look at using a product like QueueMon which is a windows based
service that monitors the imail spool and declude proc directories and will
notify you when they exceed thresholds you set. In addition,
Thanks, will look into it.

Hi,
Can someone point me to detailed info on what the BADHEADERS test looks
at and/or how this error can be remedied? Already looked in the declude

Thanks, Andrew

John,
Files being 2 minutes old in your proc directory would seem to indicate
an issue. I would think that they shouldn't be any older than 10
seconds under normal conditions (or maybe a little over 1 minute during
DNS timeouts).

Hmm... just thought of something. Would not having
ClamAV or Sniffer in persistent modeaffect this? Also not currently
using WAITFORTHREADS or WAITBETWEENTHREADS.

Hijack is working fine, what is not in use is the Declude Console, which as
Randy posted is going to be reworked into a new version soon.
