At regulary basis I have some .xls files blocked by my Declude spam filter.
I would like to ban only .exe executables, but for some reason sometimes
.xls files are also blocked.

Yes there is something wrong, periods are used as part of the file name
which leads to the log line Found file with mismatched extensions.
It is always best to use file names with no spaces and no punctuation. In
fact, it is best only to use numbers, letters and underscores.

How can we ensure that all Excel files are allowed unless they fail the Virus scan?
The name of the file should not be an issue. Either the file is clean or it is not.
Our clients don't understand and simply want to get the Excel files they expect.

The problem is that they are *not* Excel
OK Which mail clients are problematic with this issue? At least knowing this will
allow me to pass along this info to clients and encourage them to use the correct
email client.
