Hello, I've been asked to look for some reporting component/s. Does someone know of a reliable ones I could evaluate? It should : be able to report to text file, Excel, printer have a user interface for layout design purposes It would be good If it can "talk" to an Oracle

I've started evaluating a Report Builder from Digital Metaphors but it seems that it cannot produce multiple pages across when there are more columns then can fit on one page. And it can't export to Excel. I might be totally wrong here and would like to get a few different opinions

Have you looked at Crystal Reports - it has a driver for ORACLE, or you can use ODBC. It exports to more formats than I can remember, Excel included. There is a very good GUI report designer. There is a VCL control that wraps its runtime engine. Regards, Dennis.
