The weather is in the 90's now and this is the forecast that it is
retrieving. Not sure about the applet and how to check it's config
files. I looked in
Once again, updated everything to the latest version in the
repositories. The problem has been reduced from ~90% of SMB access
trials to about ~50%, but big file copies are still impossible, as they
hang after about 8 MiB (hang as in have-to-kill-gvfsd-smb-to-remove-
stuck-dialog).

PS - Phoenix seems to be ok and the surrounding cities.

Just thought I would post the output from my Asterisk box, I initiated a call
from Ekiga (9731) to extension 9700 (Desk Phone) and I am transmitting H.261
data from Ekiga even though the desk phone cannot receive it. This is what

I can't acces a directory with permissions drwxrws--- : I can browse it but I
can't download any files and create new file/dir. in it.
The user I use is included in the group of the directory.
With scp in command line, everything works fine.
I was able to restore access to my drive, but noticed something that is
still an issue... When I enter disk (no quotes) in gconf it appears as
disk_... There is no /, and no end of line characters...

Setting an invalid mount point can make a removeable media unaccessible
I think I have the same problem. It started just after I did an upgrade
(not fresh install) to Hardy Beta.
The color isn't quite black and white. If I go into the settings in
totem and throw the hue all the way up and the brightness up a little
it's about normal.

Login Window configuration saves wrong
I am using Hardy Beta and have the same issue. The calendar applet only
shows the local calendar not the exchange calendar. I have tried the
workarounds mentioned here and they do not work.
I had the same issue in Gutsy and fixed it by replacing the applet with
Novell's International Clock
Reran the valgrind log the same way after installing libglib2.0-0-dbg
libgtk2.0-0-dbg nautilus-dbg. (what does the sym mean on the ends of
your files? that was not in synaptic for me so I just went with the ones
ending with dbg)

I have done more testing and concluded these things:
1. This affects ALL USB microphones
2.The error is caused by having no default mixer for the device (pulled from an
old version of wine)

Confirmed on T60p, 2007-AD1. Patched gnome-control-center mentioned by
4lorne (see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=496180) worked very
well for me.
I hope 4lorne will provide updated Hardy packages, since the fix for
thinkpad-acpi won't be ready anytime soon...!

I am seeing this too - unfortunately selecting the applet freezes the
whole gnome-panel, and I don;t think Aunt Tilly has nautilus-open-
terminal installed, or would know how to get a tty and kill the process
