1. a saved wifi connection
2. you have to setup your gnome-keyring with a password, rather than leaving it

Steve, on my U100, killing hald-addon-generic-backlight doesn't seem to

Ok, we'll try to fix this one in time for the last karmic upload window

Some comments about a possible resolution so that interested parties can
comment and exchange while a fix is being worked on:
- the bug seems to be triggered by gnome-keyring being launched early in the
session,
IMO this is not a Vinagre bug, I'd blame gnome-keyring. It should

Hi, I'm using a MEDION Akoya Netbook (same as MSI Wind 100) and am trying
Karmic Koala RC.
When connecting an external USB hard drive I see the drive as Handy 500 in
the Places, but when I try to switch to the root directory of the drive,

-- on fresh boot, closing the lid does nothing (just turns the display
backlight off);
-- suspending works correctly when triggered from the menu, or by pressing the
hotkey;
-- after suspending has been triggered once, closing the lid

I am now updated to the release candidate through October 23, 2009.
Gthumb will now work correctly 2 times after a reboot. 3rd and
subsequent attempts default back to the error as noted above.
Logging off and back on does not help. The error appears on the first

Description of the problem:
Back in Ubuntu 8.04 gstreamer was able to play a particular RealAudio file but
with 9.10 this file seems to just hang.
Steps to reproduce:

So, now it's happening in Adobe Acrobat 9.1.3 on Ubuntu as well... only
worse, I think. Evince at least was print frames and bars; I'm getting
blank sheets of paper from Acrobat as of today, or at least some time
this week. As I recall there was a poppler update just a day or two ago.

The mentioned script kludges aren't always an acceptable method to
workaround this problem. We need a patch to zenity to allow proper
functionality. (return suitable error status when cancel button is

I can confirm this bug, however with the difference that I do not seem
to get a gstreamer error message in the system log.
I have also tried updating with todays gstreamer updates, but to no
avail.
(KK RC + latest updates)
