I'm marking 'Invalid' against ecryptfs-utils, and adding a task against gconf2. ecryptfs-utils has nothing to do with the desktop icon. It simply establishes a mount point. The desktop then adds icons for dynamic mounts. Perhaps the desktop team has a way to blacklist the ~/Private mountpoint?
