On the system resources applet memory is grouped as User, Shared,
Buffers, Cache and Free. These terms are correct if rather jargony. The
System Monitor gnome app only shows the 'User' component of these.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start gnome-system-monitor .
2. Click on the Resources tab.
3. Under Memory and Swap History there is a row that says User memory:.
