Thank you. This fixed the immediate problem of no response from the
software and no request for me to enter passwords. I assume this was
a change in the default settings between 6.10 and 7.10, since things
worked as I expected in 6.10.
There is still some flakiness in connecting to a serve
This may be a configuration issue. Please open the Edit menu, select
preferences and then choose the tab "behavior". Is the checkbox in front
of "Always open in browser windows" checked? If it is, uncheck it and
close the preferences window. Now if you use "connect to server" a new
window will be o
