I think this may be actually a bug in ralink driver. I've checked with
PCMCIA ralink-based card and get the same results - NetworkManager
thinks it's a wired interface, and there's no entry in
/proc/net/wireless. An atheros-based card works pretty well.

I use Dapper (6.06). The output of the command:
linux-gate.so.1 = (0xe000)
libpam.so.0 = /lib/libpam.so.0 (0xb7f51000)
libwrap.so.0 = /lib/libwrap.so.0 (0xb7f4a000)
libselinux.so.1 = /lib/libselinux.so.1 (0xb7f36000)
libattr.so.1 = /lib/libattr.so.1
I can also confirm this problem. No gstreamer apps are able to read from
my file-server's (Ubuntu Dapper) samba share. (Mounted through Gnome
VFS) I can read from the same share just fine on my Dapper install.

libglib-2.0.so.0 = /lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 (0xb797b000)
that's not an Ubuntu lib, Ubuntu installs glib to /usr/lib, not /lib,
Marking the bug as rejected, you installed that lib in a non-supported
way and probably want to remove it

I'm observing this problem as well (Edgy, last updated 2006-10-07).
Additionally, if I select the Inbox folder in my IMAP account, then select the
spam folder in that same account, and the go back to the Inbox folder, the
following happens:
- About four of every five times Evolution crashes.

I just noticed bug #62192. Maybe it is unrelated, but I'm also observing
the bogofilter and spamassassin error messages when starting Evolution.
Both packages are installed in my machine. The error messages seem to
appear irregardless of whether I enable or disable the plugins in
Evolution's
Thanks for your bug. We don't have easy solution for that at the moment,
we will try to work with upstream to make that better though

I can confirm this bug. I had to disable the spamassassin plugin and
install bogofilter to make the junk filtering functionnal.
These actions are not logical for a new user and no message tell him an
error occured!
I can't understand how this problem isn't solved yet, as there have been
problems
