I can not confirm this for launchers, but for preferences menus:
1) Tell gnome-panel to auto-hide
2) Right click on the clock applet
3) Choose Preferences
4) Move the mouse away from the panel
- The panel does not auto-hide, you have to hover and un-hover it again.

totem-xine crashes when attempting to watch TV on adapter 0, while xine-ui or

Hi,
I am using Evince 2.24-1-1ubuntu2 on Jaunty. I just uncompressed a .cbr
file and re-compressed the resulting folder to a .7z file, which I then
renamed to .cb7, but Evince can't open it. It says it does not support
this unknown file type (application/octet-stream).

I searched in the Synaptic Package manager for Nokia and found a number
of native linux apps that work for a whole range of different handsets
so that you wouldn't have to struggle with exporting/importing data as
you change handsets over the years.
I have 2 dvd drives, the one that's slightly older also happens to be a
slightly less reliable brand but was a lot cheaper when i bought it.
Its great mostly but occasionally has a bit of trouble.
I find that whichever drive has trouble reading something usually the
other one can cope with it. i

Err, it worked for me. Ubuntu 8.10 Totem 2.24.3 probably not the same
hardware. It hadn't occured to me to try navigating with the keyboard
as the mouse works fine. I wonder if the laptops mousepad works, they

I can confirm this doing the steps you provided. This is really wired.
I attached a screencapture. I opened two applications (epiphany and evolution):
1. When I firstly hober the panel, one can see the window list and both
applications in it

Initial observations:
First start of evolution after installing ppa packages failed, as in the sync
was taking forever (this also happened before, so I'm not sure its a
regression), so I killed all evolution processes
Second start, sync seems faster than usual.

When disable menu shortcut key (F10) is NOT checked then:
- F10 activates the menuBAR.
- Shift+F10 activates the popup menu at the mouse pointer.

I don't an .url file is a related issue. This bug is about .lnk files
created by windows to point to another location. A URL file could just
be registered with a suitable MIME type and associated with a browser. I
don't think this is the same type of issue.

.lnk files would be launched by another script, anyway, right? So this
bug has nothing to do with Nautilus.
