Yeah, it's a result of that change. If you re-include
abstractions/nameservice for evince-thumbnailer, it works with files
over nfs again. This is not unreasonable functionality, so a way should
be found to allow previews for nfs files while restricting more general,
undesirable, access.

I've realised the reason the shift-compose trick didn't work for me before:
I've been using it the wrong way. Before natty, I used to hold the Compose key
down while pressing the first of the other keys, ie (compose+s),s to do the ß.

I have the same problem. Thanks for the tip, about shift + Right Super,
but the method only works for some characters, such as ä, ö, ü, and not
for german s-z (compose-s + s). But at least I've got Umlauts now!

Just wanted to let you know that this still exists. I managed to fix it
with some of the solutions on here, I tried doing the chmod 775
gconf.xml.system first to no help. Then I did the:
chmod a+rwx /tmp
Then
chmod -R $USER /home/$USER/.gconf

because I always copied .evolution to new ubuntu versions. Had the bug at least

Yes. I have the standard Ubuntu Natty Narwhal installed onto my Inspiron
1501 with Gnome and Unity. No problems with the keymap anywhere and also
after reboots.
On both systems I am using the same keymap: Desktop works, Server dosn't

Looks like it's not just the clock, but a more generic bug: Any icon
previously clicked will light up if and indicator panel is expanded. So
for example if the last icon clicked was the start firefox icon then the
shutdown panel was clicked, the panel expanded with the usual suspend,
restart etc bu

Windows are drawn with a vertical offset about as large as the menu bar.
Several Applications are affected. Mouse cursor is offset as well.
Possibly a bug related to AppMenu?

I have the same problem. I use the Netbook versions of 10.10 on a MSi
Wind U-100 with a normal hard disk. I now added the gnome-settings-
daemon to the start up applications to see whether this helps.

Same here. My work-around is to maximize the window and it will show the texts.
It certainly is a critical bug as affected users cannot configure the e-mail at
all.
