[Bug 1044381] [NEW] Theme set to Ambiance, but window theme is Radiance

2012-09-12 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I am using light-themes 0.1.92-0ubuntu1 in an up-to-date Ubuntu 12.10.

The panel at the top is Ambiance, the window theme is Radiance and the
gtk theme is Ambiance. I have supplied a screenshot.

This happened when I changed from Ambiance to Radiance and back to
Ambiance.

It remains like this after logging out and rebooting. I then installed
gnome-tweak-tool as it gives the option to change the window theme and
gtk themes independently. Changing the window theme setting did not
change what was actually showing up.

[Bug 1049495] [NEW] Login screen reports unauthorized before I even type a password

2012-09-12 Thread Julian Edwards
Public bug reported:

My scenario is thus:

1. Boot to gdm.
2. For some reason my user is not on the screen already so I click not listed
3. The user input field appears, and I type my user id and press Enter
4. The password field appears in place of the user field.
5. Wait a second or two and then the unauthorized message appears at the
bottom of the screen

There is a workaround - instead of pressing Enter, if you click the
sign in button once after typing the user name and then once after
typing the password, it will log in successfully.

Additionally, after entering the user name, if I have changed the
session that I want it will always reset back to default when clicking
sign in so I need to change it again.

[Bug 1049028] Re: Unable to create gmail account

2012-09-12 Thread paraiko
I did an upgrade from 12.04 in stead of a fresh install. In my precise
installation there was already a gmail account configured which was not
shown anymore after the upgrade. I ran the wizard to add the account as
described above with the same result.

my google calendar is present and working, but I do not know if it was
retained from 12.04 or added after running the account wizard.

[Bug 804109] Re: can't enable touchpad in Ubuntu (thinkpads)

2012-09-12 Thread Timo Aaltonen
Nick, what if you run 'gconftool --type bool --set
/desktop/gnome/peripherals/touchpad/touchpad_enabled true', does it work
then?

If yes, the issue is that your g-s-d settings have it disabled, and then
when you log in and g-s-d starts, it sets Device Enabled to 0, but
doesn't touch Synaptics Off. The bug is in g-s-d and it's peculiar way
to touch both settings, where 'xinput disable' only touches the other
one.

[Bug 1049504] Re: mission-control-5 crashed with SIGSEGV in g_str_hash()

2012-09-12 Thread Alberto Mardegan
For the record: this crash is unlikely to happen out there: it happened
on my machine because I had an additional service file for the google
account, which I've been using for development/testing purposes.

But indeed the fix is very welcome, and contributes to the robustness.

Thanks Guillaume!

out by others).

[Bug 496371] [NEW] Laptop Trackpad Issue

2012-09-12 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: apport

Please help me provide more information around a trackpad issue:

Issue: Trackpad on laptop seems to stick for 0.2Msec after a key on the
keyboard is pressed.

Scenario: Pressing the letter g(or any key) if you move the mouse
around while pressing g, you will notice that the mouse sticks when you
press the key(I.E Mouse disappears off screen for a split second, it is
not that the mouse is only hidden as it is obvious the mouse did not
move at all in the period it was invisible), the mouse resumes moving
after 0.1~2 Msec after keypress, pressing the button again will repeat
the problem.

Note: Holding down the key will only make the mouse stick for the
initial press, if the mouse then becomes unstuck.

[Bug 1048488] Re: crashes after editing an image in external editor (ARM: Toshiba AC100)

2012-09-12 Thread Oliver Grawert
hmm, is this actually the output of the demsg command or did you just
paste /var/log/dmesg (note they are significantly different, the file in
/var only contains a boot snapshot of dmesg adn isnt useful for info
about issues on the running system)

[Bug 1049824] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV

2012-09-12 Thread Adam Bruce
I've changed the status from Invalid back to new.

Because I'm running the latest ubuntu updates and have also run 'sudo

How do I update those packages then?

Could someone see if they can still reproduce

[Bug 1029531] Re: cdromupgrade from Lucid to Precise failed with unmet dependencies without network connection

2012-09-12 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package nspr - 4.8.9-1ubuntu3

---
nspr (4.8.9-1ubuntu3) quantal; urgency=low

  * Reupload to quantal.

nspr (4.8.9-1ubuntu2.3) precise-proposed; urgency=low

  * language-support-LANG was still around in 11.04 so the previous change
is requiring a dist-upgrade for any user who upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10
and then to 12.04, instead of being limited to machines that were
originally installed with 9.04 as was planned.
Removing language-support-LANG from the Breaks, which should resolve the
issue for these users while still removing language-support-translations
on systems. (LP: #1036794)

nspr (4.8.9-1ubuntu2.2) precise-proposed; urgency=low

  * Add additional Conflicts: on the obsolete evolution-documentation-*
packages, which are held back on some users' systems despite being
obsolete before 10.04; and also on the matching
language-support-translations-* and language-support-* packages. This
should ensure libnspr is getting upgraded, instead of evolution being
held back. LP: #1036794.

nspr (4.8.9-1ubuntu2.1) precise-proposed; urgency=low

  * Add Breaks: evolution-plugins ( 3.2.0-0ubuntu2) to libnspr4,
required to get the dist-upgrader to resolve lucid - precise.
