[Bug 1044381] [NEW] Theme set to Ambiance, but window theme is Radiance
You have been subscribed to a public bug: I am using light-themes 0.1.92-0ubuntu1 in an up-to-date Ubuntu 12.10. The panel at the top is Ambiance, the window theme is Radiance and the gtk theme is Ambiance. I have supplied a screenshot. This happened when I changed from Ambiance to Radiance and back to Ambiance. It remains like this after logging out and rebooting. I then installed gnome-tweak-tool as it gives the option to change the window theme and gtk themes independently. Changing the window theme setting did not change what was actually showing up. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Theme set to Ambiance, but window theme is Radiance https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1044381 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1049495] [NEW] Login screen reports unauthorized before I even type a password
Public bug reported: My scenario is thus: 1. Boot to gdm. 2. For some reason my user is not on the screen already so I click not listed 3. The user input field appears, and I type my user id and press Enter 4. The password field appears in place of the user field. 5. Wait a second or two and then the unauthorized message appears at the bottom of the screen There is a workaround - instead of pressing Enter, if you click the sign in button once after typing the user name and then once after typing the password, it will log in successfully. Additionally, after entering the user name, if I have changed the session that I want it will always reset back to default when clicking sign in so I need to change it again. [Bug 804109] Re: can't enable touchpad in Ubuntu (thinkpads)
Nick, what if you run 'gconftool --type bool --set /desktop/gnome/peripherals/touchpad/touchpad_enabled true', does it work then? If yes, the issue is that your g-s-d settings have it disabled, and then when you log in and g-s-d starts, it sets Device Enabled to 0, but doesn't touch Synaptics Off. The bug is in g-s-d and it's peculiar way to touch both settings, where 'xinput disable' only touches the other one. ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Timo Aaltonen (tjaalton) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804109 Title: can't enable touchpad in Ubuntu (thinkpads) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/804109/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 496371] [NEW] Laptop Trackpad Issue
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: apport Please help me provide more information around a trackpad issue: Issue: Trackpad on laptop seems to stick for 0.2Msec after a key on the keyboard is pressed. Scenario: Pressing the letter g(or any key) if you move the mouse around while pressing g, you will notice that the mouse sticks when you press the key(I.E Mouse disappears off screen for a split second, it is not that the mouse is only hidden as it is obvious the mouse did not move at all in the period it was invisible), the mouse resumes moving after 0.1~2 Msec after keypress, pressing the button again will repeat the problem. Note: Holding down the key will only make the mouse stick for the initial press, if the mouse then becomes unstuck. This bug was fixed in the package nspr - 4.8.9-1ubuntu3 --- nspr (4.8.9-1ubuntu3) quantal; urgency=low * Reupload to quantal. nspr (4.8.9-1ubuntu2.3) precise-proposed; urgency=low * language-support-LANG was still around in 11.04 so the previous change is requiring a dist-upgrade for any user who upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and then to 12.04, instead of being limited to machines that were originally installed with 9.04 as was planned. Removing language-support-LANG from the Breaks, which should resolve the issue for these users while still removing language-support-translations on systems. (LP: #1036794) nspr (4.8.9-1ubuntu2.2) precise-proposed; urgency=low * Add additional Conflicts: on the obsolete evolution-documentation-* packages, which are held back on some users' systems despite being obsolete before 10.04; and also on the matching language-support-translations-* and language-support-* packages. This should ensure libnspr is getting upgraded, instead of evolution being held back.
