i agree with willie: this kind of bug should have been fixed before
releasing something that you call production ready. in a real
environment i think there are many cases of file-serving through samba
and not being able to automount the share is quite a severe bug in my
opinion.

Brendan: It might be worth filing a separate bug for this. This bug is
fixed for lots of users so it is likely that your problem has a slightly
different cause.

When I run the Dapper final LiveCD, I can get my Logitech MX900 BT mouse
working by typing
[sudo hidd --search] and then clicking the mouse's connect button, or

That issue was probably not with gnome-vfs though, anyway since it's
fixed now
I'm using Dapper. Unfortunately I can't say whether the issue appears with
firefox, as I don't have access to that network anymore (I was only on that
network for one weekend). It would have been hard to tell anyway, in a few
hours of intermittent browser use this only happened twice.

I just want to add that I too am experiencing the above problem with xv
in dapper. I have a Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GM L Express
Graphics Controller as given by lspci. I am using the defauly i810
driver in my xorg.conf.

After talking with Keywan I've *finally* commited a bug fix already
accessible in the latest development version (trunk).

The window that contains results from the dictionary lookup applet is
far too small. With the default font size I can only see about one line
of the definitions that I look up.

The fix suggested by Kevin Knerr (add user cupsys to the shadow group
and restart the cups daemon) did *not* work for me. I tried his
suggestions but the bug still remains.
This may be a powerpc-specific bug. I have two systems running Dapper
(6.06): one powerpc one x86. The powerpc system
I used xubuntu (dapper drake 6.06 beta) three weeks ago. I tried on a very week
laptop I use for school (toshibe portege 3440CT with P3). So I thought it would
be good enough. The main use was for calander.
I could not use evolution 2.6 which was downloded from official repositories

Sorry for delay in feedback. The bug indeed seems to be fixed now: it
gave one fully charged notification and has been silent after that.
