source for rhythmbox, applied the patch described in the ticket on their
bug, and then recompiled and installed the resultant .deb. The issue
wasn't fixed for me. I'll see if I can install a later version
altogether as recommended,
I can confirm that the problem no longer exists for me under Feisty.

"meta-gnome2". I do not know why. (A Launchpad bug, perhaps?) I do not

Why shouldn't it? The integration with network-manager makes the
softwares switch to offline mode when you disconnected and switch online
when the network is working again which is really handy and makes sense.
If you force manually a mode it should be respected though which is the
bug

ProcCmdline: gnome-panel --sm-client-i
Hi there - I searched around at the time and couldn't quite find the
exact problem anywhere else. I also use this feature so often that for
the time being I have disabled beryl, nice as it is.
I must go and see if there has been progress ...

When I change the background color of my Gnome panel and reboot, the
resize handles (for the window list applet and notification area applet)
do not use the new color. They continue to display as the default

Do you have tracker-search-tool installed?
Anyway, it will crash even if you don't have it installed and install
it, but this is fixed in trunk, and 0.6 should be released soon.

When I switch to a side-by-side dual monitor configuration, the gnome
panels extend the full width of both screens. If I log out and back in
again, they only extend the width of one of the screens (which I think
