Hi Thomas, your rc* symlinks are correct, so hal fails for some other reason on your system. Your hal.log looks good, it doesn't seem to have crashed (I guess you used Control-C to stop it). Can you please file a new bug about this? I guess we have to debug that differently. Thanks! -- Failed

Ok, now this is strange. I just tried it again, and now using pulseaudio works. I could play both Experience Ubuntu.ogg and ubuntu-sax.ogg at the same time (one in Totem, one in gnome-mplayer) without any problems. Using pavucontrol I could control both streams appropriately. Now I am confused.
