[Bug 295009] [NEW] deleting files in nautilus does not delete the files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus 1. Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release:8.10 2. Version: 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1 3. When I highlight a file in Nautilus and delete it, I expect it to be deleted, or moved to some appropriate trash can folder for later removal. 4. [Bug 294879] [NEW] scaling a display in vinagre shows a blank white screen when connecting to a dual monitor setup from a single monitor computer
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vinagre Getting enough information to submit a proper bug report took a bit of work here because the problem only shows up in certain configurations. When scaling, connecting to a host with two monitors, from a computer with a single monitor, the screen scaling shows a blank white screen. >From what I can tell with my own systems, this only occurs in that circumstance. Scaling a host with two monitors from a client with two monitors seems to work fine. Scaling a host with a single monitor from a client with a single monitor seems to work fine. I wasn't able to test if scaling a single monitor host from a client with two monitors works or not yet. A good example of when this comes up is when you connect to a workstation with two monitors from a laptop. This only occurs in Vinagre 2.24.1 (what ships with Ubuntu 8.10), and whether the host runs 8.10, 8.04 doesn't seem to matter. I haven't tested with any other vnc server but vino, but the problem did happen with vino on 8.10 and 8.04. It is almost certainly unrelated to the client anyway. Now I finally got it working, the libpt package has been cleaned and all the packages has been rebuild. It should now be possible to both have ubuntu-desktop and ekiga 3.0.1 at the same time. So please test if this package has interest. [Bug 293802] Re: Music player and Totem Movie player crash when trying to play movie or music
I fixed it some how but if it happens again I will return thank you for your timely response. -- Music player and Totem Movie player crash when trying to play movie or music https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293802 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 270777] Re: [SRU] unable to copy music from an MTP device
Hi Saïvann After the release upgrade MTP was not checked (it was in the 8.04, because I used rhythmbox to transfer files to the player) I checked it but the Creative Zen is not detected. I have a 30GB Ipod (5th gen), which is correctly handled even in 8.10, but I know is taken by another plugin. I'll file a new bug report, thanks! -- [SRU] unable to copy music from an MTP device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/270777 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 294369] Re: Windows file server mounts with Samba like in Hardy, but dir is "empty"
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 292523 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292523 Thank you, but unfortunately bug report 292523 contains nothing useful to help me fix the problem. gvfs does not mount my drive, not does smbclient although I can at least see a directory with it. Since our office relies on the ability to actually open files on the central server, it looks like I'm stuck with Windows until either the next update or reformatting and going back to 8.04 which I'm not inclined to do.
