[Bug 526898] [NEW] Slow to release wireless lock in auto-login sessions
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-keyring Since the latest git updates: In an auto-login session, gnome-keyring is being slower to release the nm-wireless lock . If web apps are in the startup items [ex: liferea/firefox/thunderbird/evolution] they try to connect at session start and fail _All_ the apps throw errors mentioning no connectivity. Whereas nm- applet shows the connected towers. After a few mins I have to refresh each of the _apps_ and then they are connected and work. [Bug 526841] Re: Rhythmbox crashes while it should download a podcast in the Play Queue
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- Rhythmbox crashes while it should download a podcast in the Play Queue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/526841 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 526898] Re: Slow to release wireless lock in auto-login sessions
The wireless network uses wep key[saved] for which the gnome-keyring has a master keyring over , By lock , i meant this one. Usually the keyring asks for user permissions to unlock the keyring and connect to the network at every session start. But I'v set the wireless connection as Available to all users so the nm-applet is able to connect earlier itself, before the session... I dont have to enter the password for the wireless access. [Bug 527014] [NEW] Themes with ampersands do not show up in appearance preferences
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center Themes with ampersands (the sign) do not show up in the Theme tab of Appearance Preferences. Using Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit. Steps to reproduce: 1. Right click your desktop, click on Change Desktop Background. 2. Go to the Theme tab. 3. Modify a theme so you can save it. 4. I also closed and re-opened the Appearance Preferences dialog, to make sure it didn't need to be restarted, I copied the folder and renamed both the folder and file to Test (without quotes) and it showed up in the theme list when I re-opened the Appearance Preferences dialog. [Bug 527088] Re: crash segfault libglib-2.0
