Hmm... I was able to increase border size for left, right, bottom borders by editing the XML config as described by Troy James Sobotka (comment #11). But, like Scaine (comment #58), I was not able to change the top border, even after changing every value in the normal frame_geometry block that looked like it might relate to the top border. [Bug 666806] [NEW] [Maverick] APPINDICATOR automake-fu is broken
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon As of 2.32.0-0ubuntu3, the automake-fu, as listed on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopExperienceTeam/ApplicationIndicators#Automake%20fu, has been applied wrongly, for no visible reason. Namely, the original bit: AC_ARG_ENABLE(appindicator, AS_HELP_STRING([--enable-appindicator[=@:@no/auto/yes@:@]],[Build support for application indicators ]), [enable_appindicator=$enableval], [enable_appindicator=auto]) has been instead changed to: AC_ARG_ENABLE([appindicator], AS_HELP_STRING([--enable-appindicator[=@:@no/auto/yes@:@]],[Build support for application indicators]), [enable_appindicator=yes], [enable_appindicator=auto]) Due to the way automake snippets are expanded and organised, this has the effect of ignoring the actual value supplied to --enable- appindicator and always substituting yes instead. The original form of '[enable_appindicator=$enableval]' should be restored to fix it. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Maverick] APPINDICATOR automake-fu is broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/666806 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 666803] [NEW] update-desktop-database ignores defaults.list
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: desktop-file-utils After uninstalling an acroread package, several programs (i.e. firefox or thunderbird) open pdf files with gimp rather than evince although I set up evince to be the default opener in nautilus which consequently handles files fine. Apparently the other programs start the opener which comes first in the /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache list, which is gimp.desktop. If I change the entry to have evince.desktop at first, firefox handles the file just fine. Each time, the update-desktop-database file is run though, the entries get swapped again and gimp starts to open pdf files. Consequently either firefox (or whatever mechanism they use to launch the program) ignores the defaults.list or the update-desktop-database does. When I now login using gdm, the login keyring gets unlocked, but the default keyring does not. I'm asked twice to enter it's password, before networkmanager is able to use it. When I press the reload-button in nautilus, the file-manager hangs for approx 60 seconds. Then it fails to reload, with the following two error-messages: - The folder contents could not be displayed. Sorry, could not display all the contents of category: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. ... and ... - Could not display sftp://utv...@utvikling.arcg...ner/html/com_content/category;. Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. Please select another viewer and try again. Clicking the unmount-icon in nautilus, and the reconnecting, nautilus connects without problems. However, I have experienced that a shorter/different suspend/awake-cycle might give a different result. Expected result: Trying to reload a folder should ultimately try to disconnect and reconnect the connection if the connection is broken. Alternatively, nautilus should fail gracefully with a single, understandable error message. regards Jonas ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: nautilus 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-25.45-generic 2.6.32.21+drm33.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-25-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Oct 26 17:50:20 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx - Release i386 (20100429) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- Nautilus sftp suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/666863 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
