Dear Pedro,

we have moved to exchange 2010, so I cannot reproduce this bug anymore.
Please close it indeed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make

challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
 apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open
the crash report you wish to submit.
If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with
 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash
is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't
allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug
 /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make

change in evince or in gtk, I could not find any upstream bug about
this. I'm marking this as confirmed for now because I do not have the
rights to add a specific task for Ubuntu Natty (technically, this bug
should be closed because it does not exist anymore in the current

[Bug 793077] [NEW] suspend/task freeze does not work because daemon gets into D process state

2011-06-05 Thread Peter Schüller
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

Nearly every time I try to suspend my computer it does not work and I
get a dmesg kernel message telling me that gnome-settings-daemon is to
blame. However if I use ps auxwww or iotop before suspending I
cannot see that the daemon is in D process status for extended amounts

I think this looks like an intermittent problem. It would be great if

Could this be related to the quality of the net connection? Are you

If evolution for some reason cannot contact the IMAP folder the
reasonable fallback is to save locally. That would not be a bug but a

[Bug 791007] Re: Evolution crashed after sending an email with a link (https)

2011-06-05 Thread Veger
Thank you for your backtrace, unfortuately it is not very usefull when the
application did not crash.
So I guess we'll have to wait for another crash.

To help you get the backtrace properly you could enable apport. For more
information see https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Apport#How to enable apport
As your crash it not reproducable, it might be convient to keep apport enabled
until the crash occurred again (instead of enabling it once), so editing
/etc/default/apport seems your best option at the moment.

[Bug 793088] Re: changing Edit Partition/type made external disk unreadable

2011-06-05 Thread Marcel Stimberg
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does
not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to
a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you
are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are
having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if
you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.
There is also a vibrant support community available at

[Bug 317819] Re: Evolution shows false unread messages in folder

2011-06-05 Thread Veger
I can confirm as well, I have the same setup as bryncoles described in
comment #6

Additionally I read my email on two locations and I am wondering whether
it has something to do with reading email just to turn off the computer,
go to the other location (mail was still unread there as the first
location did not update a 'read flag') readthe email again. There going
back to the first lcoation, the unread counter seems to be off.

But I am not sure whether this is the real problem, but it kind of feels
this way.

[Bug 772386] Re: Deleted IMAP email in Evolution sometimes returns

2011-06-05 Thread Thomas Waldmann
I have same problem as eric kerby.

Deletion of emails in inbox first makes the email(s) disappear (as
expected), but often they reappear just a minute later.

Server is dovecot 1.2.15-4 on Debian squeeze.

This is a regression in natty, I did not have this problem on 10.10 and
also I am still not having it on 10.04 (which I use on another machine
with the same imap account).

Please fix this, it is a BIG annoyance not being able to delete all the
spam and other crap one gets.

[Bug 793122] [NEW] some font thing failed, failed to load truetype font - important data silently left out

2011-06-05 Thread Per Ångström
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

I noticed that a PDF file I received from my accountant was surprisingly
missing some important data when viewed in Evince, so I started Evince
from the command line. I got an almost endless number of error messages:

Error: PDF file is damaged - attempting to reconstruct xref table...
Error: Found a bad table definition on true type definition, trying to
continue...
Error: Found a bad table definition on true type definition, trying to
continue...
Error: failed to load truetype font

some font thing failed
Error: Found a bad table definition on true type definition, trying to
continue...
Error: Found a bad table definition on true type definition, trying to
continue...
Error: failed to load truetype font

I must say I'm utterly disgusted with Evince not displaying anything at
all when encountering a font problem. Why not fall back to an existing
font instead of silently suppressing the error?

[Bug 793136] [NEW] Rhythmbox only checks for album art from Last.fm

2011-06-05 Thread DexterP17
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

In previous versions of Rhythmbox starting from the on released in 10.10
Rhythmbox would check for album art from the mp3 file first then the
folder and so on. On 13.3 it skips the other steps and goes straight to
last.fm leaving some files that actually have album art embedded in them
blank. EX: mixtapes or unofficial music.

[Bug 751940] [NEW] Problem with cmake module FindGTK2.cmake in Ubuntu = 11.04 (Natty Narwhal)

2011-06-05 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: libglib2.0-dev

Hi,

I compared:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick/i386/libglib2.0-dev/filelist
http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/i386/libglib2.0-dev/filelist

Why you still move file:
/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include/glibconfig.h
to directories:
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/glib-2.0/include/
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/glib-2.0/include/
?

It is broke compilation of some programs which use cmake.
There is only warning on configuration stage:
-- Some or all of the gtk libraries were not found. (missing:
GTK2_GLIBCONFIG_INCLUDE_DIR)
But compilation fails...

See string #426 in /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindGTK2.cmake
_GTK2_FIND_INCLUDE_DIR(GTK2_GLIBCONFIG_INCLUDE_DIR glibconfig.h)

Next I found in changelog file that glibconfig.h was moved in glib2.0 version
2.25.12-2 in Debian Experimental
http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/main/g/glib2.0/glib2.0_2.28.5-0ubuntu1/changelog
http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/g/glib2.0/current/changelog.html
But it was long time ago...

Now this problem affects only libglib2.0-dev (2.28.5-0ubuntu1) in Ubuntu Natty.
The package libglib2.0-dev (2.28.4-1) in Debian Sid is correct:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/libglib2.0-dev
http://packages.debian.org/sid/i386/libglib2.0-dev/filelist

Temporary I solved this problem in our project with following patch:
--- a/cmake/FindGTK2.cmake
+++ b/cmake/FindGTK2.cmake
@@ -185,6 +185,10 @@ function(_GTK2_FIND_INCLUDE_DIR _var _hdr)

 find_path(${_var} ${_hdr}
 PATHS
+# fix for Ubuntu = 11.04 (Natty Narwhal)
+/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/
+/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/
+# end fix for Ubuntu = 11.04 (Natty Narwhal)
 /usr/local/lib64
 /usr/local/lib
 /usr/lib64

But this is bad idea to push such patch in cmake upstream or to modify
cmake-data package in Ubuntu.

So problem must be fixed in this package I think.

Regards,
Boris

[Bug 776267] Re: package python-gtk2 2.22.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile returned error exit status 2

2011-06-05 Thread Marcel Stimberg
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error caused by a corrupted
archive. Please execute the following commands, as it will clear your
package cache, in a terminal ( Applications - Accessories - Terminal )
:

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your
issue. If so please set the bug's status to Invalid. Thanks in advance!

[Bug 793155] [NEW] /usr/include/glib-2.0/glib/gtypes.h:34:24: fatal error: glibconfig.h: No such file or directory

2011-06-05 Thread Daniel Polehn
Public bug reported:

Looking through some of the bugs linked to oneiric alpha 2 it appears
that the may be a problem with glib2.0-dev. A lot of packages that
reference gtypes.h are failing to build, for example see lp:755924. The
error looks like this '/usr/include/glib-2.0/glib/gtypes.h:34:24: fatal
error: glibconfig.h: No such file or directory', I believe that
glibconfig.h has moved or something. This appears to me to be a bug
with glib2.0-dev and not the packages that use it. Am I correct is this
something that needs to be fixed in glib2.0-dev or is there some change
that needs to happen to these other packages?

[Bug 755353] Re: blank My Personal Keys tab

2011-06-05 Thread Andreas Moog
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read How to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

[Bug 776324] Re: signing in requires 3 attempts

Thanks for the report. Seahorse is used to manage stored passwords and
keys, NOT handling the login keyword. I'm reassigning this report to
gdm, the graphical login.

Please answer these questions:

If you switch to a tty with CTRL-ALT-F1, can you login at the
first try?

Do you get any errors when you try logging in?

Is anything meaningful logged in ~/.xsession-errors or /var/log/syslog?

[Bug 652124] Re: the system monitor applet is not allowing the environment variables that appmenu-gtk uses

2011-06-05 Thread saksmlz
Yes, it still opens window with menu attached to the window.
I have just logged into gnome from unity and this bug is still there.
I don't know exactly but it seems to be due to absence of environment variable
or something like this, because it opens with global menu from the gnome-menu.

[Bug 793212] [NEW] custom option missing for email in preferred applications

2011-06-05 Thread adempewolff
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

One used to be able to use a custom application (or run a custom script)
for email in the Preferred Applications gui (gnome-default-applications-
properties). For example see this tutorial: http://www.linux-
geek.co.nz/2011/06/04/set-gmail-as-default-mail-client-in-ubuntu/, or
bugs filed against this functionality, such as this one:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-
center/+bug/252253.

However, in 11.04 the custom item is no longer present in the drop-down
menu. The custom option is still present in the menus for the
applications in the other tabs (Multimedia, System, and Accessibility),
but it is not present in the two drop-down menus in the Internet tab.

The ability to choose custom default mail and web applications is vital
for those who use applications that are not automatically detected by
Ubuntu. Furthermore, for those who prefer to use a browser-based email
client such as Gmail or Outlook Web App, we need to be able to run a
custom script to launch a browser.

As I don't believe I've made any modifications to this part of the OS,
this bug should be reproducible by anyone using Natty Narwhale by going
to 'System Settings' in the power-menu, then clicking 'Preferred
Applications', and then clicking on either of the two drop-down menus in
the Internet tab. This GUI can also be accessed by pressing alt-F2,
then typing 'gnome-default-applications-properties', or searching for
'Preferred Applications' using Unity.

No, it's being done in exactly the same way, merely on a different schedule
owing to differences in Debian and Ubuntu processes and release schedules.

You can see duplicates of this bug to observe packages affected by this issue.
Both packages (eiskaltdcpp and sciteproj) have no problem with builds in

Because multiarch is not implemented in Debian.

As I wrote above file glibconfig.h in Debian placed in

I inspected this file and I didn't find platform-specific code.

[Bug 791635] Re: gnome-default-applications-properties gives no option for Kmail (or any other custom mail client) if installed

2011-06-05 Thread adempewolff
this bug also affects me. I filed a report at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-
center/+bug/793212 before I noticed this one. I'm not going to mark
mine as a duplicate for now because it has a little more background
information about the functionality that use to be present--and mine
doesn't concern the auto-detecting of kmail, just the missing custom
option.

I can root around a little to see if this is reported at all in the
forums and I'll confirm if I find anything. Otherwise I'll wait for
someone else to reproduce the problem and confirm (should be easy enough
to reproduce).

I am using Ubuntu Natty with Unity Dekstop.

properly.

- When i start my system as Ubuntu classic without effects, i can configure the
Stylus to screen (Extended Device in Gimp)
Gimp works Properly.

- Starting my System Ubuntu Classic (with Desktop effects) it is the
same like using unity. The only difference is Gimp does not crash. I can
