Ok. I will update when I find anything.
I tried "mv" in terminal and there is no problem (it does not crash). I
tried "mv" within home directory and between /home and /tmp. There is no
problem. It looks like the problem is with Nautilus.

I updated my kernel to 2.6.38-10, which I had hoped would eliminate the
problem, but I just had the same freeze while the "fuzzy flakes"
screensaver was on. Going to Ctrl-Alt-F1 and using the command:
$killall gnome-screensaver
did not do anything at all. I haven't tried any other fixes yet. I us

I'm using Natty Narwhal and it looks like only randomly I receive the
"safe to remove" notification.
People coming from Windows are used to receiving this information every
time they ask for a USB drive to be removed. Lots of people are often
puzzled after I remove their flash drives from my compu

I have the same black screen after resuming with an Intel Arrandale (i5)
chipset using Compiz. System is not frozen, it's just the screen not
coming back to live.
