[Bug 997136] Re: Scroll bar in the way with nautilus maximized

2013-02-13 Thread Brel
Has this not been fixed? Basically, with the window maximized, the last file on
the page is inaccessible. It can't be opened, right-clicked on, etc.
There are workarounds but this is an annoying UI mistake.

[Bug 208096]

2013-02-13 Thread Dtardon
(In reply to comment #3)
Oh wait, that doesn't mention 2007 explicitly, sorry.
 http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Connecting_to_Microsoft_Access does.

Have you actually _read_ the text? The first two sentences are: These
article describes how to connect to a Microsoft Access database file, if
you use a MS Windows operating system. For other systems the solutions
are not yet finished. (not yet finished should better be replaced by
not even started)

http://www.libreoffice.org/features/ is misleading, unfortunately. It
should state that MS Access DB driver is only available on Windows. (It
should also not mention Adabas, because the code has been removed and it
is not clear if it had ever been compiled anyway.)

2013-02-13 Thread Jean-Baptiste Lallement

is leaking g_build_filename() calls. The implication of this leak is
severe since it's called very often. The graph attached show evolution
of memory usage of g-s-d over a period of 10h or so and g-s-d leaked 9MB
during that time.

[Bug 1123959] Re: remove data from cdrw

2013-02-13 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read How to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Instead, it should be marked as disabled, and kept on list, so I could
reactivate it later.
To reactivate, I needed to install tdbtools, open tdb file that store this
settings (pulseaudio), then remove my device from records. After that, the
device was listed again on Sound Settings as A2DP sound output.

Thanks for the catch, I need to remember why I did not calculate the
paths only once, as there should be no need to build the same paths in
each timer invocation.

[Bug 1100587] Re: gnome-control-center does not remove system-wide proxy settings from /etc/environment when switch from manual to automatic mode.

2013-02-13 Thread Margarita Manterola
Indeed, the uploaded version doesn't include my change. The uploaded
version has the following changelog:

gnome-control-center (1:3.4.2-0ubuntu0.9) precise; urgency=low

  * debian/UbuntuLogo.png: logo was saying 12.04.1 LTS, go back to just
use 12.04 LTS to avoid having to keep updating it (lp: #1116801)

 -- Sebastien Bacher seb...@ubuntu.com Thu, 07 Feb 2013 17:57:58
+0100

Whereas my patch had the following changelog:

gnome-control-center (1:3.4.2-0ubuntu0.9) precise; urgency=low

  * Added debian/patches/remove-manual-proxy-in-auto.patch to also remove
the manual proxy setting when in AUTO mode. (LP: #1100587)

 -- Margarita Manterola ma...@google.com Tue, 05 Feb 2013 11:55:06
+0100

I guess the other change was already in the pipeline, but the
corresponding fix has not gone in.

[Bug 1068155] Re: pulsesink: Segfault in pulsesink.c:2077 gst_pulsesink_pad_acceptcaps()

2013-02-13 Thread Iain Lane
Erik,

Are you now running the -proposed versions of gst-plugins-good0.10? Can
you verify that they fix the issue? We need someone to confirm this
before the packages can be rolled out to all users.

I'd like to fix a different bug in this package in the stable releases
and it's preferable that we finish this fix up before doing that.

Cheers.

2013-02-13 Thread Iain Lane
There's an outstanding SRU for this package—bug #1068155—which it would
be preferable to clear out before uploading another one. I don't suppose
you'll be able to help verifying it due to the nature of the bug. I'll
give the reporter a few days to reply before taking any further action.

2013-02-13 Thread Margarita Manterola
Sorry. My previous message was about the precise package, which doesn't
yet include the fix, but that was not what the automated message was
asking. I suspect Alec made the same mistake.

The quantal package includes the fix. I had wiped my quantal
installation, so I'm re-installing it now to check if the fix verifies
in quantal, I expect it will.

2013-02-13 Thread Victor
Same thing here. Even a 500Mo file is a problem to me (occured on several
servers).
I can download the files ok through lftp.
Is there no setting available to the user for this timeout? I googled to no
avail... Only showed that FTP timeouts in Nautilus have been an annoyance for
years now :-(

[Bug 1124297] [NEW] Mouse and touch input devices can't be configured seperately

2013-02-13 Thread Johannes Gowin
Public bug reported:

1) Ubuntu 12.10

2) gnome-control-center 3.6.3-0ubuntu11~ubuntu12.10.1

3) I want all build in/connected cursor moving devices (touchpad, mouse,
external touchpads etc.) to be configured seperately like it's possible with
gpointing-device-settings. The before mentioned package does't work propperly
with Ubuntu anymore (changes aren't persistent #489830) and isn't updated
anymore so it would be nice to have these features directly in the control
center.
Please add an option to configure all input mouses/touchpads/etc. seperately.
I'm not sure about design guidelines but this could be sorted by tabs for every
device that's connected. Also settings for every device should be saved
somewhere so when you connect an external device the next time the settings
should be restored.

4) On my Lenovo laptop I have a Lenovo trackpad and a touchpad, and I
often use an external mouse or an Apple Magic Trackpad. At the moment in
Ubuntu it's not possible to configure them all seperately considering
the different natures of the mentioned input devices.

[Bug 1124192] Re: TGA image kind not supported

2013-02-13 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

[Bug 1124408] [NEW] wav file garbled in totem, plays fine in gst-launch and mplayer

2013-02-13 Thread Steve Magoun
Public bug reported:

I tried to pay a .wav file in totem. The audio is garbled in totem but
plays back fine in mplayer or when using gst-launch from the command
line. This is a problem because Thunderbird uses Totem as the default
handler for .wav audio, so .wav attachments to mails will be opened in
Totem.

To reproduce:
1) Open the attached .wav file in Movie Player (totem)

Expected results:
The audio file plays back with no errors

Actual results:
The audio is garbled during playback

The file plays fine through gst-launch:
~$ gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///path/to/msg0001.WAV

Mplayer also plays it without garbling the audio.

Not all .wav files are affected. For example the files in
/usr/share/sound/alsa/ work fine in totem.

The audio was recorded from a voicemail box on an asterisk phone system.

Good call. Also an example of the key that can be added in
org.gnome.desktop.screensaver.gschema.xml to solve or workaround the
issue is:

/key

More information would be helpful on this bug. What version are you using of
ubuntu?
What device are you having this issue with?
What are the steps that you did to have the issue arise?

[Bug 1112641] Re: Evince incorrectly reports document Location in its Properties if there are % in filename

2013-02-13 Thread Jason White
I attempted to recreate this bug in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
I created a txt file named Test%. I as able to open the file as well as use the
command ls -l on the file as the OP did. I could not recreate the issue posted.

I also tried naming the file art%253A10.1007%252FBF01034471.pdf as the OP had
done.
I can ls -l the file and open it as well.
Both documents were created by right clicking and creating a new document and
renaming the file to have a % in the file name. Second file was also created as
a pdf from LibreOffice and still worked properly.

Attempted to recreate the bug by creating a pdf using libreoffice
(File-Export to PDF) with a similar naming convention utilizing %25 but
did not experience the same bug.

[Bug 1112641] Re: Evince incorrectly reports document Location in its Properties if there are % in filename

2013-02-13 Thread Tyler Teal
ubuntu 12.04

I created a directory called evincetest on my desktop.
I created a document called test%ubuntu
I made a copy of that document and renamed it test%ubuntu.pdf
I exported a libra office document as a PDF to the same folder called
fish%ing.pdf

evince can see all three. I can open the PDF file. Not the text
documents as they are unsupported.

I then used terminal. Navigated to the evincetest folder and did the ls command.
files have been displayed.

it may be a problem if your PDF. how did you obtain this PDF? it may be
a problem with how it was created.

2013-02-13 Thread David Watne
Ubuntu 12.04

Used Evince to create a document called test% and then changed the extension to
pdf.
Tried opening the file through both the interface and the command line.
I could not replicate the issue here.

Was unable to replicate this by simply creating a .pdf file and using a % in
the file name. I used both Evince and the command line.

[Bug 1070748] Re: The reported error was No se pudo conectar con smtp.gmail.com: Error de entrada/salida.

2013-02-13 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
Where did you see this error? Could you please attach a screenshot of
the issue?

Sounds to me like it's probably a simple case of not being connected, or
the service being temporarily unavailable...

[Bug 1124449] [NEW] Incorrect playback of 1080p movie from phone

2013-02-13 Thread Steve Magoun
Public bug reported:

I took the attached movie of my unity desktop using my phone's camera.
The top half of the movie renders properly in totem, but the bottom half
is blurred and does not draw correctly. It looks like the bottom half of
the movie is really a single row of pixels that's been scaled vertically
(see the attached screenshot).

To reproduce:
1) Play back the attached movie in totem

Expected results:
The movie plays normally

Actual results:
The bottom half of the movie is either decoded or rendered incorrectly.

Playback from gst-launch works fine:
~$ gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///home/steve/Desktop/IMG_1433.MOV

Other movies seem to play fine; I'm not sure what's special about this one.
