Bump! So, is it a problem of Document viewer or rather is it a problem of the

something about it.
Thanks,

[Bug 1201095] [NEW] gnome-panel crashes after launching steam game (Thomas was alone)

2013-07-14 Thread niedzwiedz
Public bug reported:

Hello,

I encountered a minor problem on Ubuntu 13.04 with Gnome session in
fallback mode. After running the game (even without launching steam
application), both gnome panels (upper panel and the bottom one)
disappear.

I had started gnome-panel manually in the terminal and then launched the
game.

I received a following message:
(gnome-panel:3447): Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'gnome-panel' received an X
Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 32189 error_code 8 request_code 62 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Output of apt-cache policy gnome-panel:

gnome-panel:
   Zainstalowana: 1:3.6.2-0ubuntu3
   Kandydująca: 1:3.6.2-0ubuntu3
   Tabela wersji:
  *** 1:3.6.2-0ubuntu3 0
 500 http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/universe i386 Packages
 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

and my quick translation:

 gnome-panel:
Version installed: 1:3.6.2-0ubuntu3
Candidate version: 1:3.6.2-0ubuntu3
Table of versions:
   *** 1:3.6.2-0ubuntu3 0
  500 http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/universe i386 Packages
  100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

The game is based on Unity3D engine.

[Bug 1196752] [NEW] Suspend only works once when using upower with logind

2013-07-14 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

On saucy with upower 0.9.20-1ubuntu2, suspending via UPower (or the KDE suspend
menu) only works once:
dbus-send --print-reply --system --dest=org.freedesktop.UPower
/org/freedesktop/UPower org.freedesktop.UPower.Suspend

and resuming works the first time. However, calling it again after resume
returns:
Sleep has already been requested and is pending

Sleeping directly via logind works every time:
dbus-send --print-reply --system --dest=org.freedesktop.login1
/org/freedesktop/login1 org.freedesktop.login1.Manager.Suspend boolean:true

Returning FALSE for the LOGIND_AVAILABLE() case in gboolean
up_backend_emits_resuming (UpBackend *backend) in src/linux/up-backend.c
allows suspending multiple times via UPower (or the KDE suspend menu).
UPower is somehow not getting the resume signal from logind.

[Bug 1201128] [NEW] .directory files contain references to inappropriate icons

2013-07-14 Thread CatKiller
Public bug reported:

Directory files have been shipped with incorrect Icon= fields. For
example, ActionGames.directory contains Icon=weather-storm.

This should instead read Icons=applications-action (1) which is included
in many icon sets (2), leaving this kind of substitution to the theme
author using symlinks. Including references to these substitutions
directly in the .directory files is an inappropriate and unecessary
kludge which breaks themes, including the default one.

I've only checked the Games .directory files so far, since that is what
I was doing when I encountered the bug, but they all exhibit this
problem. I'm using Ubuntu 13.04, but it's the kind of thing that could
have been sitting undone for a while. It's probably worth checking
whether this bug exists upstream or whether it's been introduced by the
Ubuntu team.

Upon further checking, Bug #421294 is a particular case of this bug,
where the line reads Icon=system-run rather than Icon=applications-
puzzles. From this report and Bug #421695 it seems likely that this bug
was introduced in Karmic.

(1) or similar - I'm not entirely sure on whether this will shake out as
applications-action or applications-games-action; Gnome currently goes
one way and KDE the other but, either way, symlinks are cheap and it can
be sorted out through freedesktop.

(2) Ubuntu's own Humanity icon set includes icons of this form, but they
are not used because of this bug.

the White Square in Gnome Panel appears Again. If its not, repeat the Minimize
and Maximize actios to rise up the bug)

[Bug 1037085] Re: 'disable-touchpad'-hardware-key is not enabling touchpad again

2013-07-14 Thread Aapo Rantalainen
I found another way to disable/enable touchpad from commandline:
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.touchpad touchpad-enabled
false
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.touchpad touchpad-enabled
true
This is working. But after touchpad breaks with hardware-button this will not
bring it back.

*
After playing with gnome-settings-daemon (gsd):

gsd-media-keys-manager is handling three different touchpadkey-events:
{ TOUCHPAD_KEY, NULL, XF86TouchpadToggle },
{ TOUCHPAD_ON_KEY, NULL, XF86TouchpadOn },
{ TOUCHPAD_OFF_KEY, NULL, XF86TouchpadOff },
Where first (TOUCHPAD_KEY) is only which is really doing something about
settings, two latters are only about showing info on screen. And this laptop is
only sending these ON/OFF events.

I then commented out everything relating touchpad - Bug still triggers:
Hardware-button disables touchpad, but doesn't enable it back (this time there
are no visual icon on screen).
*

What another process/application is handling media keys? (acpi_listen is
not showing it)

[Bug 1037085] Re: 'disable-touchpad'-hardware-key is not enabling touchpad again

2013-07-14 Thread Aapo Rantalainen
And one more way to disable+enable touchpad:
xinput list | grep TouchPad
 - id=11

xinput set-prop 11 Device Enabled 0
xinput set-prop 11 Device Enabled 1

And for checking current status: xinput list-props 11 | grep Enabled

But this is not the way what hardware-button is using, and is not
helping when touchpad breaks.

[Bug 1201190] [NEW] Totem interface not launching.

2013-07-14 Thread Martin Bodin
Public bug reported:

Hi,

This bug happens relatively frequently: sometimes, when I double-click on a
music file (I don’t think the type of file is relevant here) in Nautilus, Totem
is not launching anything. After about ten seconds, I usually retry. This
time, I retried two times: after the third try, three Totem windows opened…
but none where responding (even after several minutes).
Each window was completely empty (a grey filling, with only the title: no
button or anything I usually see when launching Totem).

Hoping it will help,
Martin.

[Bug 1201215] [NEW] seahorse: Seahorse consistently crashes after selecting to view by keyring once

2013-07-14 Thread Stephen Michael Kellat
Public bug reported:

Imported from Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/714585:

Package: seahorse
Version: 3.8.2-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
When I open seahorse from the Gnome menu via Passwords and Keys as a regular
user and select view by keyring, seahorse immediately exits. It will not start
again and immediately crashes. When started from the commandline, it just
displays the following:

ray@woodrabbit:~$ seahorse
** Message: init gpgme version 1.4.1
Segmentation fault

I can start seahorse as root from the commandline and don't get an immediate
crash, however when i select any different view, there is no change in the
actual view in the GUI and the following errors are given:

(seahorse:21216): dconf-WARNING **: failed to commit changes to dconf: The
connection is closed

(seahorse:21216): dconf-WARNING **: failed to commit changes to dconf: The
connection is closed

(seahorse:21216): dconf-WARNING **: failed to commit changes to dconf: The
connection is closed

Reverting to the package in stable (3.4.1-2), all functions operate properly.
I was unable to find the debugging symbols, and can provide a backtrace if
details can be provided how to go about obtaining one. Incidentally I was also
receiving the
same Glib-GIO-WARNING messages as the commenter to bug #644623 posted on 29 Jun
2013, but I'm unable to reproduce them now.

[Bug 1201229] [NEW] Should be a choice for one graph on multicore CPUs

2013-07-14 Thread giannis
Public bug reported:

It is more than a feature missing than a bug.

System monitor should be able to set to display the CPU load in one
graph even in multicore CPU.

For exaple in a 4 core CPU when one core is loaded 100% and the other 3
are idle, it should be the choice to display that with a number of CPU
load 25%.

Windows task manager has this ability. System Monitor should have this
ability too.
