I had the same issue with Ubuntu 18.40 (final Beta) and HP EliteBook 850 G5 and reported the bug 1762814 and the solution (or rather workaround) for me was to blacklist amdgpu and this gnome shell crash, all the boot errors and suspend issues were gone. [Bug 1762794] [NEW] Can't complete purchases in GNOME Software
Public bug reported: (Using the PPA with the purchasing stuff in) With the release of a paid snap in the store I tried to buy it with GNOME Software starting on a fresh machine. Here's what happened: * I search for and found the kiosc snap * Clicking on the details showed that it was priced at 9.99 USD * I click on the snap and was asked if I was sure I wanted to buy * I was asked to login to the store * I didnt have any credit card information and so Firefox opened and took me to the page to add a credit card, which I did, and then closed firefox. * I switched back to G-S and clicked on the 9.99 button again * I received an email from the store confirming my purchase * However - the snap was not installed. Click the button more times didn't result in more purchases, nor did it install the snap. ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) Status: Confirmed ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Robert Ancell (robert-ancell) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1762794 Title: Can't complete purchases in GNOME Software To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1762794/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1762797] [NEW] Gnome wayland session crashes on newer kernels
Public bug reported: I got a new Dell XPS 9370 and upgraded it to 17.10, the included kernel(4.13.0-38-generic) seems to be working except for some short temporary hangs(1-3 secs) ones in a while under wayland.
