[Bug 1666681] Re: Restore interactive_search.patch (type-ahead search)
Lubomir, what changes were required on top of the arch patch to work with 3.26.3? I'm using the Arch patch as-is on Ubuntu 18.04 and there don't appear to be any problems that I've noticed so far. But assuming your changes are necessary, could you publish them somewhere? It would be great to maybe have a public git repo that people could contribute to to maintain patches for the latest few versions of Nautilus that are in common use. Ubuntu devs - now that there is a working patch again (and seemingly the will to maintain it by the arch community and others), might Ubuntu be able to ship a patched nautilus once more restoring this behaviour? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181 Title: Restore interactive_search.patch (type-ahead search) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/181/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1766799] Re: gnome-control-center (ERROR) ../shell/cc-panel-list.c → 926 → cc_panel_list_set_active_panel → assertion failed → (data != NULL)
I was able to reproduce the problem by having both the Ubuntu and GNOME session. 1. Login with Ubuntu session 2. Select the Dock settings panel 3. Logout, then back in with GNOME session 4. Launch gnome-control-center It will try to open back the (now non-existent) Dock settings panel and SEGFAULT. It appears to do that when trying to show a non-existent panel. Workaround: 1. Login into Ubuntu session 2. Open Settings, and select a panel that exists on both sessions (so any panel except the Dock it seems) 3. Log back out, and then back into the GNOME session. Now the settings should open without SEGFAULT. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1766799 Title: gnome-control-center (ERROR) ../shell/cc-panel-list.c → 926 → cc_panel_list_set_active_panel → assertion failed → (data != NULL) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1766799/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1770940] [NEW] Kexec reboot doesn't work on 18.04 non-EFI system
Public bug reported: Unclear whether to report it against kexec-tools or systemd. After upgrading to Ubuntu 18.04, the „systemctl kexec” command gives the following error message: Cannot find the ESP partition mount point. What's interesting is that strace shows that systemctl tries to find the EFI partition before it emits the error message, like it was expecting an EFI system. My laptop is not capable of EFI, and it wasn't a problem for previous Ubuntu releases – the „systemctl kexec” command worked fine before. Here is my systemd version: root@thinkpad:~# systemd --version systemd 237 +PAM +AUDIT +SELINUX +IMA +APPARMOR +SMACK +SYSVINIT +UTMP +LIBCRYPTSETUP +GCRYPT +GNUTLS +ACL +XZ +LZ4 +SECCOMP +BLKID +ELFUTILS +KMOD -IDN2 +IDN -PCRE2 default-hierarchy=hybrid And my kexec-tools version is 1:2.0.16-1ubuntu1. I attached an strace output. [Bug 1770927] Re: Some Unicode (cjk) characters invisible in Emacs25 [Bionic]
** Description changed: I am experiencing font issues for a few specific characters. Attached a screenshot that shows the visual parts of the issue clearly. using (setq-default linum-format "%4d \u2502") at ~/.emacs should produce a solid bar beside number line like the Fedora 28 doing. But both in Ubuntu (and lubuntu 18.04) and Debian Stable (even in Unstable), some characters not rendering as expected.
