Although dragging could be done by relative movements. Setting an
absolute position does appear to be impossible in Wayland.

On second thoughts, client-side decoration means that Wayland apps do in
a way set their own position when being dragged. So maybe there is a

Just an update - the problem got progressively more severe over days. So
I ordered a new keyboard and replaced it. The issue has now gone. So it
looks like this was a hardware issue. I have marked this bug report as

Sometime the Open and Save dialogs in GTK applications will over 20
seconds to display.
I found https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/485 , which
suggested this due to gvfsd-trash, and running `killall gvfsd-trash`
which does temporary solve the

Yes please uninstall/disable all extensions other than the three Ubuntu
extensions. You can find them in the app called 'Extensions'.

everything is fine now. I did what Daniel van Vugt (vanvugt) suggested
and removed wakatime, there were no extensions installed in gnom the
memory fell down to normal levels, and the lag when switching, typing
went away.
