I think I have the same problem.
After suspend2ram (suspend2disk not tested but probably the same)
Networkmanager can only find wired device. I'm able to connect bu typing 'sudo
dhclient' but this isn't working with WEP protection.

I have such problem after an upgrade from elder version of XChat.
IRC server I use accepts only /msg nickserv IDENTIFY password command.
It seems, that XChat sends /nickserv IDENTIFY password to server. If server
doesn't accept this command alias, authentication fails.
In my case, solution is

I have a very similar issue with Ubuntu 18.04.1. After a fresh install
and creating 4 users, the "switch user" feature does not work at all.
When I click on "login as another user", the screen goes blank
I tried text trick already, but unfortunately it doesn’t really solve the
problem. All of the regular UI elements (icons etc) remain tiny. I would
really suggest if we could please not go that route, and instead focus on
fixing the scaling properly, if possible.

My example is wrong. These slash multiplication occurs when there’s more
that just \n, like \nTest and doubles, not just increments by one.
\n actually becomes U+000A displayed as a square box with codepoint

Is this more a font bug or a font renderer bug?
If it's only a font bug we can fix it, a couple of instructions here and

applications work slowly, but if I run any fullscreen application (like OpenTTD
or Tuxracer) everything works fine in this particular application. The compiz

Yes, but it's true letters are tight at the size used in your screenshot.
Try using similar text in
Lucida Sans that comes with jre has a similar overkerning issue for application
menu titles. This is not a font bug as far as I'm concerned.
Strangely Firefox does not have the problem while other Gtk+ apps do.
