Compress option not available when selecting single exe file

When selecting a .exe file (A windows executable file) and right
clicking on it, the option to compress is not shown in the context menu.
This option appears for other formats but not for single executable
windows files (.exe files). If I select 2 or more files, the option

In 13.04, Nautilus is not showing the status bar on the bottom when
entering a folder with many items on it. It only shows the status bar
when I select the items in it, but not by default when I go inside a
folder. It should, like in the past, tell me how many items are shown

The bar missing goes in the bottom (there is no option in preferences).
Typically shows how many items (folders and files) are in the current
folder and how much disk space is left. It was there in 12.10 under the

Folder X - Total Files 10
Folder X/Sub 1 - Total Files 2159
Folder X/Sub 2 - Total Files 1190
Folder X/Sub 3 - Total Files 3388
Folder X/Sub 4 - Total Files 2408
I did a search on Folder X for all files in the Sub folders then tried
to CUT all of them and put

Benchmark
Horrible problem in 14.04 and 14.10. It is very slow with folders that
contain 500+ files (png, jpg, mp4, mkv). I tested for example a folder
with 1000 files. The files were 400 png, 400 jpg, 100 mkv and 100 mp4.
It was amazingly slow. Took more than 10 seconds to start showing the

to install google chrome, virtualbox, sublime, atom, basically
everything I had prepared. So I see it's being worked on which is

So this are the results using the latest Mutter (3.26.1) from todays
update plus Nvidia 387.22 with an Nvidia GTX 1080 -

Searching within many subfolders freezes Desktop
Confirmed, after adding the nvidia-drm.modeset=1 to the GRUB file it
worked. I tested 3 cases:
1. Reboot without Log out afterwards.
2. Reboot with a Log out afterwards and then try to log in again.
3. Reboot with a Log out afterwards, try to log in again and then reboot.
It worked for all
This is exactly what is happening to me. I installed Ubuntu 20.04 today
(The official released version, not beta), and if I set the auto login
on, it will give me the same issue the original poster said. You can't
login afterwards and if your logout, it enter a loop where you will
never come out
Hi Daniel, issue not yet working I am afraid. If I select the theme on
the installation or change it from the settings, it does not change to
dark mode. Nor does it stay there on 22.10 when suddenly it would go
back to white or have of the theme would go back to white.

Hi Daniel, just in case this is not an Anydesk bug. I installed anydesk
today but I have had the issue since the first day I installed
Ubuntu.23.04. I am saying this because my bug report was marked as
duplicate of this one but it is not an anydesk issue. I did not even
have anydesk installed
If I disable the "legacy tray icons" option...
How can I disable the legacy tray icons to try to replicate this? Just

I followed the advice of Disabling the Gnome extension Ubuntu
AppIndicators and rebooting which worked, but today I am seeing the
following, if I click around the area in the circle it opens anydesk.
This time, it ONLY happens to anydesk, not telegram or any other app in
there.
