I can also confirm this behavior with 7.10. It's a fresh install on a

I think I may have isolated the issue on my end - it seems that
Shift+Num Lock turns on the Mouse Keys feature.
It seems to be pretty easy to hit this key combo on my laptop since I'm
always turning Num Lock on and off pending what I'm doing at the time
and holding the Shift key

Oh, I've found out what is the actual problem.
Usually, I see at the numbers of the pages in the preview pane. Please check
the attached screenshot.
The PDF file has its own page numbers sequence, started with C1, then two empty
numbers, then 1, 2, 3 etc (got 3 extra pages). This sequence

I just tried to burn an audio CD from a set of mp3 files.
1. opened brasero and went to the music folder
2. selected the files
3. pressed the burn button and then again in the burning properties dialog.
4. got the crash.
I found cdrdao of version 1.2.3 in Debian repo, but it silently crashed
I initially tried gconf-editor and that did not work (under lucid lynx).
Using gconftool-2 and restarting finally worked for me. However, this is
still a ridiculous bug.

Binary package hint: evince
The PDF indicates No Name fonts are embedded but it does not show any content
using those fonts.
This happened when upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10.
The PDFs in question are invoices and are correctly displayed in windows with
Acrobat Reader.
I'm having similar issues, and I dunno how to fix it (the above
suggestions aren't working). I'm on Ubuntu 9.04 as well. It's nothing
to do with the desktop theme.
My problem is a bit quirkier... I had some apps open the other night
(ssh -X windows) that overlapped the Gnome panel. I had to
Ugh, grr, nevermind. I found it. It wasn't a bug... just the naivety of a
relatively new Gnome user. Scratch my question.

Exact problem as poster above. I tried to manually edit gnome-power-
management using gconf-config and it still doesn't work. The fn buttons
to change brightness work for me however.

You need to install support for RAR files. One such packages is unrar-
free. Install it using the following shell command:
sudo aptitude install unrar-free
