first planned for 8.04 LTS version: For this one it should be put in the
backport short list because LTS users may not want to wait 2 more years!

translation before the gettext one and strip all desktop translations
from ubuntu packages (not a short-term solution of course).

- The wifi section disappears from Settings and when I make a search for "wifi"

stopping the wifi adapter to be recognized by the system. I deactivated

Ok I know why there is this bug, when you edit (CTRL+B) places you can
see some of them that are no more valid (folder deleted by example).
But due to these bad places the move of places to change their order is
invalid.
