[Bug 2022916] [NEW] gdbusconnection: Explicitly destroy an idle source on cleanup
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu Touch we run into regular unit test freezes of lomiri-app- launch (formerly known as ubuntu-app-launch) based on some race time conditions (number of CPUs to build/test on, CPU speed, etc.). [Bug 1983042] [NEW] gstreamer-vaapi 1.20.1-1ubuntu1 can't be installed
Public bug reported: The "Depends: libgstreamer-plugins-bad1.0-0 (>= 1.20.3)" kept when backporting gstreamer-vaapi 1.20.3 isn't matched by such a backported version of the libgstreamer-plugins-bad1.0-0 package. [Bug 1885170] [NEW] Feature request: make nemo the default file manager instead of nautilus
Public bug reported: I'd like to propose that you make nemo the default file manager packaged with Ubuntu in the future instead of Nautilus. [Bug 1866022] Re: XTerm/X icon has a blue 0054 unicode glyph rendered on top
I, too, have this problem. U+0054 is a "T", and in the normal XTerm logo there's a blue T at that location. I think Gnome does not handle this kind of icon and glitches out on the Unicode character -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1866022 Title: XTerm/X icon has a blue 0054 unicode glyph rendered on top To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1866022/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 134313] Re: pdfimages produces inverted image for black & white image
Related: "In general, Acrobat and Reader will show a negative image when the image data indicates that it needs to be inverted. When you have images that are compressed with the CCITTG4 algorithm, there is a flag in the image data that indicates if a logical "1" indicates black or white. The software that created this document must have used the wrong value for this flag. I've seen similar effects also with certain CMYK JPEG images (but it's been years since I encountered the last one of those) where the PDF generator created corrupt data." [Bug 1799293] Re: Locking the screen once leaves screen contents visible but not interactive. Locking the screen a second time works.
@hjwp2, For most folk I do believe Super+L twice is sufficient but it isn't a full workaround. While it does suspend the machine, it doesn't prevent the thing folks are fussing about: If someone wakes up your machine the UI is still bugged, so a random citizen is still able to interact with the docks (so they can run any script you have in your dock). That and... maybe you don't want to suspend your machine. I tried image in my previous attachment again and it worked fine this time so it's not for every jpeg-2000 image. [Bug 1031685] [NEW] resuming playback of a magnatune ogg stream is broken

[Bug 750429] Re: empathy uses proxy when it shouldn't
Muhammad, you didn't read the bug correctly, Empathy uses the proxy. The problem is that you may not want it to use the proxy although you want the other network clients to. Here is the usecase (see also comment #3): we have a proxy to access the internet, but use an internal chat server for our messaging. So if Empathy can't be told to not use the proxy I can't connect to the internal chat server, since it tries to use the proxy which isn't to be used for internal communications. [Bug 667114] Re: totem doesn't show subtitles
Hi, I also have this problem, I will gladly give you whatever info you need. I tried to do just what the original reported did today and it doesn't show the subs. I tried with VLC and mplayer and they both work fine with the subs. I tried to rename the *.srt file just like the *.mp4 file, copied it alongside the video and tried it again (since the doc sais Totem loads the subs automatically if it is in the same directory and it has the same name), but that didn't help. ** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) Status: Expired = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667114 Title: totem doesn't show subtitles To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/667114/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 60448] Re: .xsession_errors file grows out of control saturates disk space
I have this on a fresh install of 11.04, in about 5 days without rebooting, logging-out/in or suspending my .xsession-errors fills up to about 140 GB. I use this system for work so this is really annoying, rebooting or logging out/in is a hassle because I have to re-setup my environment (I can't automate this). I checked the /etc/X11/Xsession and it is supposed to be doing the rotation (which it doesn't seem to be doing in reality). [Bug 750429] Re: empathy uses proxy when it shouldn't
Yes, I have this too. I need to use OCS for work (via the pidgin sipe plugin) but it doesn't use/need the proxy. I need the proxy for access to the internet though, so I have the global proxy set for apps to access the internet. I added the OCS server to the proxy ignore list but that doesn't seem to work. I tried using Pidgin and it also fails, until I tell it not to use the proxy; this of course isn't possible with Empathy right now. I think my use case is actually a frequent one for enterprise environments (needing the proxy for web access but not for the internal company chat/IM, which usually does not have access to the internet). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/750429 Title: empathy uses proxy when it shouldn't To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/750429/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
