I can confirm this problem with an onboard and an usb sound card. After
every new login, only the onboard card is controlled by gnome-control-
center sound. I have to manually switch the cards.

OK, the problem seems to be EXIF rather than the size.
If I run
exiftool -all:all=
on the affected file, the properties open just fine.

Just so this doesn't get lost in the other bug: I'm actually seeing this
color-problem in *all* video-types (MPEG2, MPEG4, Quicktime, etc), not
just quicktime alone. Without NoXv (which is horribly slow), gstreamer
is unusable. Xine works fine.

fixe it. Blame fglrx I guess. Maybe VideoOverlay should be used in xorg.conf by

OK, ximagesink is really horribly slow.
And it works with totem-xine, so I'm not sure how's fault it really is.
I remeber to have had this problem a long time ago and using OpenGL as output
helped with xine.
So I tried gstreamer0.10-gl, but it is horribly broken: Video is displayed in a

The Pirates of the caribbean 3 quicktime trailer (1080p) plays fine on
dapper, but makes problems on feisty. A part of totem's window stays in the
picture even in fullscreen mode. No problems on dapper.

Changing video.driver in totem_config to video.driver:opengl seems to
fix the problem, so this is most likely not a regression in totem-xine
but in fglrx (might have something to do with the really nice new
autoconfig system). Changing the VideoOverlay in xorg.conf doesn't seem
to help.

Well, no comment from upstream so far. I still consider this a security-
issue as evolution uses a quite weak cipher by default (I can live with
RC4-MD5 as fallback, but not as a default).

I only backup my files (calendar, etc) with gnome-pilot and let Gnome display
the appointments in the calendar. I don't use Evolution for anything at all
(although I have to let it run ones to include the info in the gnome calendar).
That looks like the reason I don't see you crash.
