Sadly, I'm experiencing this bug again. Aparently, nautilus' session
saving/restoring is awfully unstable. It makes the ubuntu desktop
experience feel primitve. I wonder what needs to be done so that this

This happened because the plugins package was not installed (or removed)
with a recent upgrade. Maybe the plugins should be required with the
rhythmbox package (this is just a thought). If not, this is really not

I did remove the indicator applet from my custom account (a long time

Yes. I'm running an up to date karmic (9.10) with GNOME 2.28.1. It
occurs if one of my nautilus windows has an extra tab opened. I work
around this by not using tabs in my nautilus windows. It limits my work
but at least I can count on my windows being where I last left them when
I logout.

It's reproducible for me. I have five (5) nautilus windows in my first
workspace, ten (10) in my second and one (1) in my third. Each time I
logout and then login at least one of the windows in my first workspace
is interchanged with another in the second one. I can't quite say what
