One workaround is to use gizmod as described in the following ubuntu
forum thread.

If anyone has a workaround for this, please post it here. I tried using
xkeybinds but it also does not work when a full screen game hijacks the
keyboard input.

Volume keys don't work inside a full-screen game

You received this bug notification because
I have stopped using this functionality since it broke. A good
workaround is to
1) Open the ftp or ssh folder in nautilus (ex: ssh://mysshserver.com)
2) Give nautilus your login details and store it on the keyring
3) Add the location as a nautilus bookmark
Then the server location will show up

I get the same error when unmounting an iaudio 7 as well as an ipod
shuffle (mounted to /media/IPOD). It unmounts and removes the directory
properly so I don't believe this error message is warranted.

A fresh install fixed this. There must be a bug when updating from Edgy
to Feisty.

How about this dev shortcut that I have in the open/save dialogs but
no filesystem. That has to be a bug.

dev only appears in open/save gtk dialogs, not in nautilus or the
places menu.
And shouldn't there be a File System shortcut in gtk open/save? I know
there was in gnome 2.16. Without it, it makes things like searching the
root filesystem with gnome's Search for
BTW, dev links to /dev/.static/dev/
I'm also attaching the output of mount.

I also have this problem. I'm not sure if it's a problem or not, but I
have no ftp url-handler in desktop-gnome-url-handlers.
