relating to how I'd issued a test certificate to the YubiKey. I
resolved this and can confirm the fix works great (although I have been
having issues with pcscd.socket not triggering pcscd to run).

Authenticating with a password, then running kinit -X in a privileged
terminal window DOES work, everything matches and I get a kerberos
ticket.
Deleting everything from the YubiKey and issuing a brand new certificate

modifier key does work for the first character on the first attempt.

I have created a large deb file of game assets for Quake 4 using the
game-data-packager tool in Ubuntu 16.04. If I double-click on this file
in Nautilus, gnome-software opens to install the file. However, the file
size is incorrectly listed as over 18 exabytes (!) as per the
Second Dominik's post as not fixed. The hidden files are showing in
Nautilus on 16.04 by default and when changed back do not stay like
that.
My thanks to him, his suggested fix via Firefox Save dialog worked for
me - I have tried many of the older suggestions - including resetting
nautilus
the screensaver in a way which causes gnome-
screensaver to start.

issue was fixed in 16.04 a long time ago. Be sure to use the 16.04.1 ISO

This is fixed on the Toshiba actually, but I was originally testing on
the Chronos laptop, which remains broken. The only two obvious
differences between the two laptops is the Chronos has an ATI card,
using the fglrx drivers (from hardware drivers), and also sports a
backlit keyboard.

Just noting that as of gnome-settings-daemon version 3.3.92-0ubuntu2,
this bug is still apparent. Lock is set, close lid, screen turns off,
open lid, normal desktop appears.

I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and Evolution refused to load after the
upgrade. Luckily, I backed up Evolution data prior to upgrade.
Ubuntu 11.10 has changed the default email client from Evolution to

I have only noticed this problem with the release of 11.10
Now the grid lines that distinguishes the boxes is almost the same as the lines
between the squares.
Also the background on the start numbers is very dominating and difficult to

I use Evolution 2.28.3 running Lucid 64-bit at work with a single IMAP
account (IMAP but it's technically Exchange since I run dav mail to do
the proxy translation) and during the day I have to kill -9 all
evolution processes.
The evolution-data-server-2.28 process is eating up my CPU and as of
when I type in lsusb into the terminal it shows it.

Ran updates... had some error with updating used apt-get update -f.
Then when I wanted to upgrade got an error saying this package had
dependencies that where not being met and I should also use the -f flag
with upgrade, which I did. Then after reboot got the error that I am

When connecting to a VNC server using the VeNCrypt with TLS and x509
certificates (such as a kvm VM with vnc_tls switched on), Lucid's
vinagre hangs with a blank screen if there are no client side
credentials.
Using the --gtk-vnc-debug trace
The system is looking in /etc/pki for the CA root and not finding it.
There appears to be a missing runtime dependency on the package.

The video is quite hard to make out. I have a group chat open and I'm
pasting 60 chars repeatedly the windows first expands and then after
about 5 pastes the session crashes

The empathy window seems to want to grow width wise as I type to fit the
text rather than to wrap it. This is annoying enough but when the entry
is long or quick enough this crashes my gnome session leaving me to log
in again.
