Through further investigation with themes (as I always like to do) I
realized something else. The boarder that was appearing around the
desktop appeared to be the same boarder that appears (is used)
To clarify, I believe it is 2.29.92.1, as this is the latest release not
marked 2.30...

I noticed this little problem just a while ago. I always knew that
gnome-panel had some kind of generic memory leak (I cannot pinpoint the
cause) but it was small and always seemed to correct itself after a
while. This time was different.

I've noticed that the Edit Menus Application for editing the menus (of
course) has numerous, and, in my mind serious problems. For example:
1. It's extremely slow (and I have a fast computer with graphics acceleration
enabled)
