Really annoying. With a playlist, there is no way to know whether or not
I have heard a song, but if I had the ability to shuffle in the Play
queue, I would. And its not like the original idea, with a no-chaotic
queue disappears as it would still be possible not to use shuffle.

This also happens to me with exactly the same symptoms: slowly dimming,
unresponsive function controls, then brighten again on it's own without
any sort of user input or after a delay of a few seconds. This is on
different hardware: a Sony Vaio SZ1XP laptop.

did preserve the wrap settings on my machine after saving.
The sequence of events I tried was:
1) Load a file with long lines. Text wrapping was disabled in my Preferences,
so the initial state was NOWRAP.
2) Pressed
after proposed kernel update cheese almost works on my DELL INSPIRON 1520.
- It does not crash anymore
- I can select any resolution but...
If I select 640*480, which should be the webcam native resolution, I just get a
black screen in the cheese window. It does not crash, but it does not work

In Ubuntu 8.04, after attaching an external monitor and pressing the
detect displays special key sequence (fn-F7) on my Lenovo X61s, the
external monitor would immediately display a mirror of the laptop's
monitor, at the native resolution of the external
It sounds like you have two separate issues. One, that the hotkey
sequence no longer works. Two, the behavior of the Screen Resolution
applet with mirroring has changed. The first issue I think is fairly
widely known and plans are afoot to solve it (see

I have a similar problem on my HP Pavilion dv6700 laptop.
'battery.reporting.design' is constant, but
'battery.charge_level.design' changes. Is there any way to configure
g-p-m to use the former value, or is this something set in the code?

insert USB media.
open USB media through clicking the USB Media icon.
select some favorite jpg files icon with the mouse.

I understand what you mean; it is impossible to recreate this exact
scenario; solitaire is built not to be the same every time.
However, after playing five games, this bug is still not confirmed. Each
time I had enough cards in a stack, I moved them across and had no
problems.

of gnome-terminal I was using became unresponsive. I opened up another
terminal and tried to kill -9 the frozen bash process; this caused the
second terminal to freeze
