Chalk this one up to user ineptitude! Spent a part of the day yesterday installing the latest version on NVidia dirver and tools for Linux. Once that was done and I could actually control my screen resolution - Evolution was all readable. Not sure what/where the issue I had was coming from.

Confirmed here - and the option to enter the cursor theme in the compiz settings is now removed. I can set the Obsidian cursor theme and it works perfectly under Metacity. With compiz, the effects are rather fragmented - initially, the cursor doesn't appear. Switching to metacity gives perfect
