This is still a problem in USC 5.2.4.
It is a bug that looks like it could really easily be fixed. I really
have no idea, of course, but most lambda users using the USC would think
that this shouldn't be a problem any more in modern apps. It basically
makes the Ubuntu Software Centre look cheap
No, it won't help track down the problem. And all of that information is
already present on the bug report, so asking the reporter to provide it
again is just wasting their time.

Same problem here. I will try to follow the steps proposed to the first

-Please provide steps you take to reproduce this issue on your machine
Open empathy, add an AIM account, username, password. Then empathy
endlessely tries to connect to AIM with no success. Tried to
